The time he has been able to spend in the field has been devoted largely to the study of the geology of three small areas, the comprehension of which is necessary to a clear understanding Of the general geology of the State These areas are the region in the vi cinity of Little Rock, the Magnet Cove, and a small area Of igneous rock in Pike county. Much has also been done upon the general geology Of the State and toward the preparation of the final report and the complete geologic map of the State.
