Walter Everenden (d.1725) and his family emigrated from England to Dorchester, Massachusetts. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Everton) and relatives lived in New England, New York, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and elsewhere. Some descendants became Mormons, and lived chiefly in Utah and Idaho. Walter Marion Everton (1876-1950), son of Marion Cecil Everton and Eliza Pitcher, was born in Smithfield, Utah. He published genealogical materials.

Walter Marion Everton was born in 1876 in Smithfield, Utah, son of Marion Cecil Everton (1853-1912) and Elizabeth Pitcher (1855-1923). He married Laura Pearl Knowles, daughter of Joseph Croft Knowles and Laura Matilda Baugh. Ancestry is traced to Walter Everenden (ca. 1650-1725) of England and Dorchester, Massachusetts; Samuel Kelsey (1748-1819) of Ireland and South Carolina; William Pitcher of Shipdham, Norfolk, England who married Mary Forley in 1713; Thomas Knowles who married Betty Suttcliffe in 1789 at Pendle, Preston, Lancashire, England; George Thomas Baugh (1821-1909) who married Elizabeth Ferneyhough in Handsworth, Staffordshire, England and later died in Logan, Utah. Descendants lived in Utah, California, Montana and elsewhere.

Also includes some descendants of Otto Beery. He was born in 1859 at Langnau, Berne, Switzerland and immigrated to the United States ca. 1885. He married Mary McCleary in 1890 at Passaic, New Jersey. They had five children, 1891-1906. He died in 1918 at Wallington, New Jersey.
