The book explains the processes within the body that result in the signs and symptoms of disease by investigating the biochemistry, bacteriology, virology, haematology, and immunology of disease around a core of histopathology and morbid anatomy. The book begins with an introduction to laboratory medicine and then proceeds to investigate the pathology of all the individual systems.
