Synopsis Complex Mortgages (CM) by : Gene Amromin
CM became a popular borrowing instrument during the bullish housing market of the early 2000s but vanished rapidly during the subsequent downturn. These non-traditional loans (interest only, negative amortization, and teaser mortgages) enable households to postpone loan repayment compared to traditional mortgages and hence relax borrowing constraints. But, they increase household leverage and heighten dependence on mortgage refinancing. CM were chosen by prime borrowers with high income levels seeking to purchase expensive houses relative to their incomes. Borrowers with CM experience substantially higher ex post default rates than borrowers with traditional mortgages with similar characteristics. Illus. This is a print on demand report.

Synopsis Mortgages by : Hank C. Sentowski
A mortgage represents a loan or lien on a property/house that has to be paid over a specified period of time. Mortgages come in many different shapes and sizes, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, terminology and vested interests. Mortgages represent one of the most (if not the most) significant investment decisions most individuals will make in their lifetimes. This new book presents invaluable information on some of the primary types of mortgages as well as FAQ and future trends in the industry.

Synopsis Economic Collapse, Economic Change by : Arthur MacEwan
This thoughtful book offers a widely accessible account of the recent economic collapse and crisis, emphasizing the deep nexus of economic inequality, undemocratic power, and leave-it-to-the-market ideology at its root. Based on their understanding of the origins of the crisis, the authors propose a program for reform that is equally dependent on poppular action and changes in government policy.
