Synopsis Adam to Apophis by : Nicholas Costa

Who or what were Adam, Noah, and Elijah? Where they real or imaginary? What exactly was Creation? Did something really happen sometime around 4,000 BC as the Bible tells us? What exactly was leprosy? Why is the Islamic world in turmoil after centuries of quiescence? Are the mass uprisings democratic movements against tyrannical regimes, or fanatical drives to promote the spread of Islam, or is there something else far more sinister at play? Adam to Apophis provides answers to all of these questions. For millennia major religions have held the unflinching belief that at some future point the world will once more enter an 'end time' phase. According to Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, and Mayan reckoning that 'end time' phase is this current century. Christianity also holds the same belief. During such phases the earth has been subjected to airbursts and meteoric impacts which in turn have spawned decades long sequences of major environmental traumas in the form of extreme weather, volcanic eruptions, massive earthquakes, and tsunamis. This 'future' phase is itself part of a larger cycle to which the Earth has been subjected a number of times during the past 6,000 years, resulting each time in worldwide societal collapse. Religious or mythological texts exist which feature fantastic creatures and long lived superhuman beings. The records have been fastidiously preserved for millennia. Jewish and Chinese texts have preserved associated chronologies. However these ancient chronologies have been repeatedly discounted or ignored by modern scholarship. In the past few decades science has built up its own independent chronology of the earth's recent past by means of dendrochronology, ice cores, ice rafting, sedimentology, volcanology and astronomical retro calculations. These now provide us with a tangible record of climatic and terrestrial traumas stretching back thousands of years. At first sight the two disciplines would appear to be in total opposition- the one seemingly relying on 'faith' and 'fabricated' evidence, and the other on scientific reason and hard fact. Given therefore the seeming polarity one would therefore expect to find little if any synchronicity between the two. What happens if we overlay the templates? Modern science has recently discovered an important earthly traumatic cycle know as Bond Events which occur every 1400-1500 years. The religious texts also clearly display knowledge of this cycle. Islam for example holds the belief that it will only last some 1400-1500 years. Adam to Apophis demonstrates that the concept of millenarianism is no idle fantasy but ultimately rests upon a firm foundation of real physical traumas. The book traces this primary cycle in stages back from the present day to: Bond Event 1: the advent of Islam in the 6th century AD when there was massive terrestrial and social upheaval worldwide. Bond Event 2: the 9th century BC where we discover the same pattern. In the Bible this is represented by the Elijah cycle of stories which focus upon a hitherto unidentified massive volcanic eruption in Arabia, but with clear evidence from regions as far afield as China that the trauma was worldwide. Bond Event 3: Noah's Flood, his true identity and the real location of the 'Ark' -still a major religious site comprising the largest cemetery in the world with millions of bodies buried there. The identities of the Chinese Emperors Yao, Shun, and Yu and a second impact site. Piora Oscillation: Death of Adam. The Nephilim. The Chinese Flame Emperors. The Mahabharata and Krishna Bond Event 4/ 5.9 Kiloyear Event: The true nature of 'Creation', the identity of Adam, the Ramayana and the Burckle Crater Adam to Apophis is an original and compelling work. It will be of indispensable interest not only to scientists and academics in a variety of disciplines, but also to the layman of whatever or no religious persuasion.

Synopsis From Adam to Omega by : A. R. Roberts

Extraterrestrial life has been a philosophical issue that has not been high on the priority list for scientific study. Since the UFO issue revolves around possible alien visitors, however, it is essential to determine if extraterrestrial life could exist and, if so, whether it could visit our world. In From Adam to Omega, author A. R. Roberts provides a comprehensive compendium of UFO phenomena, followed by his interpretations of how those phenomena relate to religious and historical texts. Roberts provides a commonsense approach and a logical evaluation of the most credible evidence availableevidence compiled by reliable researchers and investigators. He examines a plethora of questions: Are UFOs real? Were extraterrestrials involved with ancient civilizations? Are aliens abducting people and performing strange tests and examinations? Does the Bible reveal evidence of extraterrestrial visitation? Did the US Air Force really retrieve crashed UFOs and alien bodies? Are the military, the government, and NASA hiding the truth? Is there evidence of an alien agenda? From Adam to Omega presents thought-provoking and interesting information as it examines the evidence to determine what is fact and what is fiction. Roberts offers a unique perspective on the UFO mystery.

Synopsis The Political Situation in Egypt During the Second Intermediate Period, C. 1800-1550 B.C. by : K. S. B. Ryholt

The Second Intermediate Period designates the 250 year period (18001550 BC) which separates the two glorious periods of the Middle Kingdom and the New Kingdom. During the 19th century BC, an invasion by Caanite tribes into the Delta took place. Around 1800 BC these people proclaimed their own king and the Delta thus became independent from the rest of Egypt. Egypt remained split between the Canaanitic rulers in North and the native Egyptian Kings in the South for the rest of the Second Intermediate Period. The division of Egypt brought about an economic decline, and the entire period is characterized by a lack of royal monuments. This circumstance has greatly hampered any attempts to establish a chronology of the period, and as a consequence it has been very difficult to date many sources which are relevant for the social and political situation of the period. The Second Intermediate Period has therefore remained one of the most obscure periods of Egypt's ancient history. The dissertation is a new attempt to establish a chronology for the Second Intermediate Period and define the different kingdoms, their territories and political relations. The study consists of four main chapters, three appendixes, a catalogue of sources, bibliography and indices. Included is a catalogue of all the historical sources, about 1500, known to certify the names of the Egyptian kings of the Second Intermediate Period. Each source is described in terms of type, origin and present location, followed by bibliographical references.

Synopsis The Magic Flute by : Tjeu van den Berk

This volume demonstrates for the first time that Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte is an enactment of the alchemical opus magnum, in the form of a chemical wedding. Towards the end of the 18th century, alchemy was still a prominent mystical current within the Order of Freemasons of which Mozart and his librettists were members. The central part focuses on the opera's alchemical structure, whereas the historical and mythological backgrounds are also dealt with extensively. The book comes with 3 CD's offering a rendition of the integral opera, in contrast to the common practice of leaving out major parts of the libretto. The Magic Flute is a fascinating journey of discovery, an initiation into Initiation. With complete original libretto and over 100 pictures.

Synopsis A Twisted History: Genesis and the Cosmos by : Charles N. Pope

In January of 2016, Mike Brown, the discoverer of Sedna and other dwarf planets beyond Neptune and Pluto, made the stunning announcement that at least one full size planet (dubbed “Planet 9”) is still waiting to be detected in our outer solar system. Astronomers and Astrophysicists have embarked upon an intensive five-year program to scour the heavens in search of this missing corner piece to the solar system puzzle. In honor of that non-trivial pursuit, “A Twisted History: Genesis and the Cosmos” has been freshly edited and greatly expanded. It is not only a trusty bird dog to the epic scavenger hunt that is “Mission Planet 9,” but your companion in exploring the mysteries of the larger Milky Way Galaxy as well. The central figure of the Book of Genesis is not a mighty hunter (of men or beasts), but a mild-mannered cultivator of human relations and the celestial arts. It is not Nimrod, but Abraham who is reckoned as deserving of twelve entire chapters (Genesis 12 -23) and portions of two others (Genesis 24-25). He is curiously commanded to look toward the heavens and hunt for stars. In extra-Biblical tradition, Abraham is more specifically identified as the leading astronomer of his Age. With this in mind, an interpretation of the Torah from the perspective of Cosmology takes on renewed focus and significance, and especially in light of recent events. In the Book of Genesis, stargazer Abraham has a Nemesis named Abimelech. Adam is cursed with the company of an older, wiser and higher Serpent. Even more tellingly, Jacob (likened by his son Joseph to the Sun) wrestles with his slightly older, reddish and surly twin (Dwarf Sun) brother Esau. Twins are quite prominent and considered special in the Bible and Myth. Astrophysicists have also recently determined that multiple star systems predominate in our galactic neighborhood, and a number of young, developing star systems of this type are now being studied in detail. What we have not suspected is that our own solar system begun as a binary. In retrospect, it perhaps should have been intuitively obvious. There is two of everything! There are two gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn. There are two nearly identical other gas planets with extensive damage, Neptune and Uranus. There are two nearly identical rocky planets, Earth and Venus. There are two heavily damaged rocky planets, Mercury and Mars. There may even be the remains of two proto-planetary disks, those being the Oort Cloud and Kuiper Belt. How many more clues do we really need? Mike Brown and his colleagues are looking for a planet (and maybe two), but may end up rediscovering our solar system’s missing stunted twin instead.

Synopsis Samaria, Samarians, Samaritans by : József Zsengellér

Papers in this volume were presented at the seventh international conference of the Société d’Études Samaritaines held at the Reformed Theological Academy of Pápa, Hungary in July 17–25, 2008. The discussed Samaritan topics permeate different areas of biblical studies: The question of the Samaritan Pentateuch has a serious impact on the textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible. The pre-Samaritan text-type among the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as the dating and isolation of Samaritan features of the Samaritan Pentateuch provide fresh and important data for gaining a better understanding of the composition of the Torah/Pentateuch. New reconstructions of the early history of the Samaritans have a great effect on the history of the Jewish people in the Persian and Hellenistic period. As a distinct group in the centuries around the turn of the Common Era in Palestine, Samaritans played an important role in the social and religious formation of early Judaism and early Christianity. Living for centuries under Islamic rule, Samaritans provide a good example of linguistic, cultural and religious developments experienced by ethnic and religious group in Islamic contexts.
