Synopsis A Measurement of Z Boson Production and Rapidity Distribution in Proton-Antiproton Collisions at {u221A}s by :
High-precision measurements are made of Z boson production in proton-antiproton collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab, using the electron decay channel. The cross-section times branching ratio is measured to be ?Z · Br(Z → e+e-) = (255.7 ± 2.4stat ± 5.2sys ± 15.2lum)pb in a dataset of 194 pb-1 collected between March 2002 and June 2003. This agrees well with theoretical predictions. The cross-section for W boson production in the electron channel has also been measured in the subset of this dataset of 72 pb-1 collected up until January 2003. Using this smaller dataset the ratio of cross-sections is determined to be R ≡ ?W · Br(W → e?)/?Z · Br(Z → ee) = 10.82 ± 0.18stat ± 0.16sys. Combining these results with measurements made in the muon channel gives R = 10.92 ± 0.15stat ± 0.14sys (e + ? channels), from which the branching ratio of the W to electrons and muons, and the total width of the W, have been extracted: Br(W → l?) = 0.1089 ± 0.0022 (l = e,?); ?(W) = 2078.8 ± 41.4 MeV, which are in good agreement with the Standard Model values and with other measurements. The CKM quark mixing matrix element.

Synopsis Diffractive Z/?* {u2192} ?+?- Boson Production in Proton - Antiproton Collisions At{u221A}s by :
Measurements of the inclusive diffractive Z → ?+?- cross section with gap requirement for M?? > 40 GeV at √s = 1.96 TeV and fraction of Z bosons produced diffractively with gap requirement from Z inclusive production are presented. The measurements are performed using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 820 pb-1, collected with the D0 detector at the Tevatron, between 2002 to 2005. A total of 39945 di-muons events are selected and final results of: ?$gaptop{Diff}$ x Br(Z/?* → ?+?-) = 4.09 ± 0.64(stat.) ± 0.88(syst.) ± 0.27(lumi.) pb and, R$gaptop{Diff}$ = 1.92 ± 0.30(stat.) ± 0.41(syst.) ± 0.12(lumi) % are obtained. In addition, d?/d? and d?/dy distributions are presented and they are compared with diffractive montecarlo (POMWIG). A reasonable agreement is obtained in this comparation. Finally, comparison of fraction of Z bosons produced diffractively with gap requirement (gap fraction) as measured with D0 during Run I of the Tevatron is compared. A good agreement is found for gap fraction results.

Synopsis Measurements of the B Production Cross Section in Proton-Antiproton Collisions at {u221A}s by :
The authors present a measurement of the cross section of b hadron (Hb) production in p$ar{p}$ collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV using the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. They use 83 pb-1 of data taken between october 2002 and May 2003 that was collected with a trigger sensitive to high momentum muons and displaced tracks. They use partially reconstructed decays in the following modes: Hb → ?- $ar{v}$?D0X, D0 → K-?+, and Hb → ?-$ar{v}$?D*+ X, D*+ → D0?+, D0 → K- ?+, and their charge conjugates. They correct for the backgrounds from c$ar{c}$ and b$ar{b}$ decays, for trigger and reconstruction efficiencies, and for detector acceptance. They report the total cross section above a minimum transverse momentum (pT) of 9 GeV/c for the rapidity range.

Synopsis Measurement of W and Z Boson Production and Extraction of the W Width and Branching Ratios at CDF by :
We present results from W and Z boson production in proton-antiproton collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV using the CDF detector. We measure the W and Z cross sections times lepton branching ratio, [sigma](p{bar p} → W)·B(W → l[nu]{sub l}) and [sigma](p {bar p} → Z)· B(Z → k+l−) l = e, [mu]. We also measure the ratio: R{sub l} = [sigma] · B(W → l[nu]{sub l})/[sigma] · B(Z → ll). From R{sub l}, we extract the W electron and muon branching ratios, BR(W → l[nu]{sub l}, and the total W width, [Gamma]{sub W}. In addition, high transverse mass W →e[nu]{sub e}, candidates provide an alternate, direct measurement of [Gamma]{sub W}.

Synopsis Measurement of Z+ ? Production and Search for Anomalous Triple Gauge Couplings in Proton-antiproton Collisions at {u221A}S by :
The author presents a measurement of p$ar{p}$ → Z? + X → e+e-? + X production using proton-antiproton collisions data collected at the Collider Detector at Fermilab at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV. Z? production provides a direct test of the triple neutral gauge couplings. A measurement of Z? production cross section and search for anomalous ZZ? and Z?? couplings are presented. The data presented are from 1.1 fb-1 of p$ar{p}$ integrated luminosity collected at the CDF Detector. Electrons from Z decays are selected with Et > 20 Gev. Photons (Et > 7 GeV) are required to be well-separated from the electrons. There are 390 ee? candidate events found with 1.1 fb-1 of data, compared to the SM prediction of 375.3 ± 25.2 events. The Standard Model prediction for the cross section for p$ar{p}$ → e+e-? + X production at √s = 1.96 TeV is 4.5 ± 0.4 pb. The measured cross section is 4.7 ± 0.6 pb. The cross section and kinematic distributions of the ee? events are in good agreement with theoretical predictions. Limits on the ZZ? and Z?? couplings are extracted using the photon Et distribution of ee? events with mee? > 100 GeV/c2. These are the first limits measured using CDF Run II data. These limits provide important test of the interaction of the photon and the Z boson.
