Synopsis An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination by : Elizabeth McCracken
'This is the happiest story in the world with the saddest ending.' A prize-winning, successful novelist in her 30s, Elizabeth McCracken was happy to be an itinerant writer and self-proclaimed spinster. Then she fell in love, got married, and continued her life of writing, travelling, and teaching with her husband. Two years ago, she found herself in a remote part of France, waiting for the birth of her first child. This book is about what happens next. In the ninth month of her pregnancy, a baby is lost.Just over a year later, a baby is born. In a profoundly moving display of humour, heart, and unfailing generosity, McCracken tenderly presents her story: a story of true love and unfathomable sadness, of courageous recovery and bittersweet moments, of steadfast memories and deep affection.Grief walks through these pages of this remarkable book, but so do happiness and hope.

Synopsis Unanswered Letters to Lorelai by : Sampurna Dasgupta
‘Unanswered Letters to Lorelai’ is a collection of poems for my Lorelai. This collection is entirely on subtle love that finally overpowers wretched silence and then turns into shattered remains, leaving behind solitude and hatred. This poetry is like an embrace on cold days when Lorelai’s gone far away. Perhaps, Lorelai’s better off in the form of scribbled lines of poetry on a rusted book, left untouched, unread.

Synopsis The Baroque Violin and Viola, Vol. I by : Walter S. Reiter
"The Early Music revival has had far-reaching consequences on how music of the past is performed, both by specialists and non-specialists. This timely book is a practical step-by-step course of lessons for violinists and violists in both these categories, covering the interpretation, technique, culture and historical background of the Baroque violin repertoire. Written by a violinist and teacher specialising in Baroque music over many years, it guides readers from the basics (how to hold the violin) to Bach, via music from a wide variety of styles. Avoiding obscure musicological jargon, it is eminently readable and accessible. Packed with information, detailed observations on the music under discussion and relevant quotations from historical and contemporary sources, it covers everything the Baroque violin student should know and may be considered as equivalent to two to three years of individual lessons. The book contains over 100 Exercises devised for and tested on students over the years. The author's holistic approach is evident through the Exercises aimed at bringing out the individual voice of each student, and his insistence that what happens within, the identification and manipulation of Affects, is a vital part of successful performance. Imitating the voice, both spoken and sung, is a constant theme, beginning with the simple device of playing words. There are 50 Lessons, including five Ornamentation Modules and ones on specific topics: Temperament, Rhetoric, the Affects etc. All the music, transcribed for both violin and viola, is downloadable from the website, where there is also a series of videos"--

Synopsis Nostalgia by : Shruti Ray
Who hasn't missed their earlier experiences? Is there anyone out there who doesn't recall the good old days? This sentiment is understood by everyone. There are drawbacks to nostalgia, but there are also many advantages. We will discuss its traits, causes, and history in this post. We'll also provide you with some advice on how to deal with too much nostalgia. We frequently associate the word nostalgia with ideas like regret, sadness, or melancholy when we read or hear it. This phrase conjures up a loss that gives us a lot of pain in our hearts. When we think about the past, nostalgia is a feeling that overtakes us. It actually derives from the Greek words "nostos," which means "return," and "algos," which means "pain." His etymology couldn't be clearer. We frequently overlook the positive aspects of nostalgia, though. ‘Nostalgia is an anthology of 31 writers who share their experiences, verses and stories of their opinion towards the title of the book.
