This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the International Conference on TEX, XML, and Digital Typography, held jointly with the 25th Annual Meeting of the TEX User Group, TUG 2004 in Xanthi, Greece in August/September 2004. The 21 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. The papers reflect the state of the art of digital typography using TEX or its offsprings. Besides typesetting issues, the papers deal with topics like multilingual document preparation, XML document processing and generation, complex bibliographic databases, and automatic conversion.

Specifically, the book focuses on one system of taxation known as bala," or "rotation," so called as provinces' payments rotated month by month throughout the year. This work is the first to take an interarchival approach, discussing Sumerian tablets from Umma, Lagash and Puzri -Dagan, and is the first major synthesis of what has long been recognized as a fundamental institution. Dreyfus examines the central ideas of Dharmakīrti, one of the most important Indian Buddhist philosophers, and their reception among Tibetan thinkers. This collection of essays honors the life and work of Gary Beckman, Professor of Hittite and Mesopotamian Studies at the University of Michigan. This book presents the practice and theory of Tibetan Buddhism. First is a meditation manual written by the Fourth Pan-chen Lama (1781–1852), based on Tsongkhapa's Three Principal Aspects of the Path, which covers the daily practice of Tibetan monks and yogis. Susa and Elam II contains 16 contributions presented at an international conference on Susa and Elam (SW Iran) in 2015 in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). They cover various themes on Susian and Elamite history, language, religion, and culture.

Several years in the Tibetan monastic curriculum are devoted to study of the Sautrantika tenet system, for it forms the basis for Madhyamika epistemology. The systematization of Sautrantika assertions has interested generations of Tibetan scholars to the present. Three major types of scholastic literature developed: presentations of the whole tenet system, syllogistic debate texts on problematic topics, and expository treatments of single important issues. Klein annotates translations of outstanding texts in these categories and supplements them with commentary from Tibetan yogi/scholars.
