There is much to see in the mind's eye. Conjured from evil or told from on high. There are moments that come and go like the wind. And others that stay, never leaving again. Can you believe there are so many things to see and say everyday as we try to find our way? Welcome to life. Words, Rhymes & Rhythms Volume I: Abstract Journeys of Thought & Soul is the first in a trilogy of poetic verses, freeform thoughts, street life tales and short story imagery by D.H.S. Bogan. Each selection weaves a tale that travels the emotional gamut from humor to angst, raw reality to vivid imagination and through love and loss. Listen. Those that listen always hear what's going on, even if nothing is being said. Sensual and mysterious, disturbing yet curious, this compilation spans over twenty years of the author's life, uncovering the inner turmoil rarely spoken through the written word. Take a moment and listen

Synopsis A Feast of Rhyme, Rhythm, and Song by : Nancy Cecil
LEVEL: Grades PreK–1A Feast of Rhyme, Rhythm, and Song presents an interactive and engaging approach to teaching phonemic awareness – an essential foundation for later reading success. Using sound, music, and rhythm activities, young children develop the ability to hear inside a word – to hear specific sounds, identify the sequence of sounds in words, and understand the role sounds, or phonemes, play in word recognition. Lessons are presented sequentially, through the developmental steps involved in acquiring phonemic awareness. The process begins with the rudimentary awareness that sounds exist, and progresses in complexity to the final insight that sounds within words can be manipulated, deleted, replaced, or added. In this resource, you will find:- easy-to-follow, step-by-step lesson plans - variations for or extensions of the activities - ongoing assessment for each lesson - notations and lyrics for all the songs - templates for a full set of picture cards on CD - a Phonemic Awareness Assessment Tool - an outline of music-content standards applicable to most provinces (and states) The authors of A Feast of Rhyme, Rhythm, and Song believe that children who have experienced the joyful phonemic awareness and music activities contained in this book will be primed and ready for this next step in the remarkable journey of learning to read.

Synopsis A Creative Approach to Teaching Rhythm and Rhyme by : Andy Croft
The content of this book is based on the Andy Croft's experience of working with children in over 400 UK schools and will provide teachers with ideas, games, examples and models that they can use in the classroom to encourage their children to become writers and readers through the practice of rhyme and rhythm. He strongly believes that you don't have to be 'good at English' to be able to enjoy the music of ordinary speech. Using rhythm and rhyme is a democratic creative act that is equally hard and equally easy for everyone. It has special rules which won't let you reach for the first word that comes into your head. Your words have to fit the pattern. You don't have to write anything down, but you do have to become a writer. And once you have become a writer, you might become a reader...
