BEING REJECTED WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING After killing my mate to keep myself and my sister alive, I'm left picking up the pieces of my life as well as trying to deal with new problems. When two of my rabid wolves run off, my old alpha threatens to hunt them down if I don't find them. That sends me and the other rejects into overdrive as we work to retrieve the other wolves in time to prevent their deaths. Meanwhile, the memories of my torture continue to haunt me and Ginger, messing with our lives and the people around us. Knox is watching out for us too, but he's got problems of his own to deal with. I hoped my life would be smooth-sailing after I escaped the cages, but things are only getting more complicated. I've got to figure out how to juggle everything in my life... or my gift and my past might just overwhelm me for good. *This new adult urban fantasy features sass, cinnamon rolls, and slow burn romance. Synopsis The Werewolf Book by : Brad Steiger

When Darkness Reigns and the Full Moon Glows, Terror Emerges to Stalk the Unsuspecting… From lycanthropic creatures found on television and film such as Teen Wolf, Twilight, and True Blood to the earliest folklore of shape-shifting creatures, The Werewolf Book: The Encyclopedia of Shapeshifting Beings is an eye-opening, blood-pounding tour through the ages of monsters with the most amazing camouflage capabilities—they hide among us! Along the way, you’ll land at the doorstep of creatures like hirsute mass-murderer Albert Fish, and Fritz Haarman, who slaughtered and ate his victims—selling the leftovers as steaks and roasts in his butcher shop—as well as visits to mythical shamans, sirens, and skin walkers. Covering 140,000 years of legend, mythology, and fact, The Werewolf Book provides hair-raising evidence of strange and obsessional behavior through the centuries. Learn the basics of becoming a werewolf and the intricacies of slaying the beast. A true homage to werewolves and other full moon beasts, it includes topics such as … • Bear, tiger, coyote, and other shape-shifting people • Classic and modern werewolf movies • Gargoyles, totem poles, and Internet depictions • Serial killers and sadistic rulers • Sorcery, spells, and talismans • Television shows, songs, and computer games Werewolf hunters and fans of all ages will appreciate the detailed section on slaying the beast, while potential victims will find the information on detecting and warding away the occasional wayward wolfman more to their immediate liking—if not need. With over 120 illustrations and photos this ultimate lycanthrope compendium is richly illustrated. The Werewolf Book's helpful bibliography and extensive index add to its usefulness.

Synopsis Man into Wolf by : Robert Eisler

First published in 1951, Man into Wolf attempts to suggest the possibility of historical, or rather prehistorical, evolutionist derivation of all crimes of violence, from the individual attack on life known as murder or manslaughter to the collective organized killing which we call war. The author has tried to show that the evidence from prehistory can be made intelligible on the theory of Jung’s archetypes surviving in the collective conscience and revealing themselves all over the world in legends, myths and rites. He discusses, in the notes on the lecture, every possible aspect of the subject ranging from the perverseness of the Marquis de Sade to the Grecian Bacchantes, and from the Green Men and the agricultural ceremonies to a case study of John George Haigh. This book will be of interest to students of anthropology, gender studies, and psychology.

Synopsis Wolf Camp by : Andrea Zuill

Meet Homer, a dog who heads to camp to live like a wolf! Here’s the perfect book for the legions of kids out there who love dogs and funny books. Homer is a dog . . . but he also secretly fancies himself part wolf. So when an invitation to attend WOLF CAMP (“Where every dog can live as a wolf for a week”) falls out of his kibble bag one morning, he’s determined to go. After his people finally agree, Homer boards the bus bound for Wolf Camp, along with fellow campers Trixie and Rex. They’re greeted on the other end by wolf counselors Fang and Grrr (“they seem nice”), and what follows is an array of wolf activities, including learning to howl, mark, and hunt. Of course, Homer’s a little homesick at times, and the food isn’t very good, but that just makes heading home all the sweeter. Perfect for all those kids anticipating camp themselves, Zuill’s debut introduces a charmer of a dog and puts him in some laugh-out-loud scenarios.

Synopsis Wolf Tamer by : Lola Glass

MEETING MY FATED MATE WAS MAGICAL. Then he rejected me, threw me in the trunk of his car, and sold me into a backwater fighting club full of rabid werewolves. My pack and family have no idea I'm in danger and my inner-wolf is still crying over the guy who rejected me, so I'm on my own. At least I think so, until I realize I have the ability to tame rabid shifters. But I have no idea how to use it--and accidentally end up with a dozen crazed wolves protecting me like I'm their favorite chew toy. The only other sane trapped werewolf is a sexy, infuriating jerk who calls himself Knockout. He might be my ticket out of the fight club, but I don't know if I can trust him. And even if I can, those dozen werewolves who think I'm theirs to protect? They're not letting go. I have to find a way out before I get too attached to the rabid wolves around me... Especially Knockout. Or the gift that's keeping me alive just might become my undoing. *This new adult urban fantasy features sass, cinnamon rolls, and slow burn romance. It is NOT reverse harem. Synopsis Stories Pictures Tell by : Flora Leona Carpenter

"Art supervisors in the public schools assign picture-study work in each grade, recommending the study of certain pictures by well-known masters. As Supervisor of Drawing I found that the children enjoyed this work but that the teachers felt incompetent to conduct the lessons as they lacked time to look up the subject and to gather adequate material. Recourse to a great many books was necessary and often while much information could usually be found about the artist, very little was available about his pictures. Hence I began collecting information about the pictures and preparing the lessons for the teachers just as I would give them myself to pupils of their grade. My plan does not include many pictures during the year, as this is to be only a part of the art work and is not intended to take the place of drawing. The lessons in this grade are planned for the usual drawing period of from twenty to thirty minutes, and have been given in that time successfully. However, the most satisfactory way of using the books is as supplementary readers, thus permitting each child to study the pictures and read the stories himself."--Preface
