The purpose of this second edition is to bring together the current rapid developments and activities in residues of veterinary drugs within the European Community. The EEC legislation is summarised. There is information on the Reference Laboratories, the Maximum Residues Limits (MRL) and the criteria for the methods to be used for routine analysis of residues by Member States and third countries wishing to export meat to the EC. The current state of examination of residues practised and the analytical methods used in Member States is described in detail.
