Synopsis Trapped in an Open Cell by : Romeo Kwau
My book captures the plight of a good mans battle with the social behavior of the environment around him. He grew up in the comforting surroundings of the city of Chicago in the 1970s. Moving around as a child with his mom, they settled in Parkway Gardens at the tender age of six. Our hero took care of his mom as much as he could at such a young age. He even learned how to cook and take care of himself, unsupervised, by the age of seven. He extended that courtesy to his little sister when she appeared around the time that he was turning nine. This was so that his mom wouldnt have to worry about paying a sitter. Things were going well until his father moved in with the rest of the family and his mom started attending church. The young mans mother began to become a totally different person. Everything came to a head when he reached the age of sixteen. Chris, our hero was determined to escape the madness of his abusive home and make a better future for himself. He was a child of channel eleven and the ABC Afterschool Special. He stood fast to the belief that every problem could be solved if you put in the time and effort. After joining the military and attending college, Chris sowed his wild oats and began to look for a bride. It is said, What you run from will always catch up to you. The young man from Parkway found that out firsthand in the beginning years of his long-awaited marriage. He made the mistake of promising her that he wouldnt leave her during their time of courtship, but when it got rough and he saw the vicious cycle of his young years returning though his ever-loving wife, he tried to put her away with the truth. Sometimes people only hear what they want, and this is where the story begins. Please enjoy.

Synopsis The Prop Building Guidebook by : Eric Hart
Theatre and film frequently require replicas of three-dimensional objects built for actors to use. This book lays the groundwork for an artisan to determine what materials and techniques to use to build these props. Walking the reader through the various tools and techniques used in historical and contemporary prop-making, the author present a process for deciding the materials and methods to build any prop. With an explanation of how the craft and its products have developed over time, the budding artisan will understand not just how and when to use certain techniques or materials, but also why to use them and what advantages they give. It arms the prop maker with a structured procedure for approaching the construction of any prop. Illustrated with step-by-step examples of how to use each construction method, and explanations of different types of materials, this book gives the beginner prop artisan a strong foundation to approach the construction of props and answers the question, "How should I begin?" The author is hosting an online component to the book along with his successful blog. It will feature additional resources for the prop maker, including books, shops, contact information, and how-to videos.
