Synopsis Kings in Queens by : J. 'Joey' Guida
A short time after my dad's death, my slumber began filling with startling sights and scary sounds. And they were not just random dreams but recurring nightmares. And these night terrors were the inspiration for Kings in Queens, a 106-page novella. My father, a Pearl Harbor survivor, died at eighty-three after a three-week battle with cancer. But my dreams were not of my dad but instead of my best friend, tragically killed when we were in fourth grade. This story describes the ecstasy of school children at recess one day and then their agony the next morning when one student did not return to class. For this story, I try coming to terms with my friend's death, traveling through glimpses of memories, both funny and sad growing up in Queens, New York, and all along paying tribute to my dad, my mom, and their generation. I am also forced into finally accepting a dark family secret. I have been told this story is a moving experience and well worth your time. After all, two family members and one close friend cannot be wrong. And with such an overwhelming response, I have started a sequel titled Rockaway Beach Blue, continuing my search, trying to reconnect with my long-lost friend. Thank you for considering my story.

Synopsis Shadow Kings by : Mark Hill
In the late Eighteenth Century, a goldsmith and early European banker by the name of Meyer Anselm Rothschild convened a secret meeting in Frankfurt Germany, of 13 prominent Jewish banking families, for the purpose of formulating a plan to oppose the power of the Catholic Church and gain control of the western world through financial and political manipulation. Throughout the centuries, this close affiliation of international bankers and heads of state has been referred to by many different names; the Family, the Circle, the Olympians, the Money Power, the Elites, and most prominently, the Illuminati. Their identities have remained shrouded in secrecy, but their objectives and their tactics have remained consistently true to the original plans of the thirteen bloodline families. Through the ownership and the manipulation of the central banks of Europe, and that of the United States; democracy itself. The current trends toward corporate globalization are a direct result of their plans for a one world government; the New World Order. At the start of the millennium, one thing is clear; their plans are working. John Doe is Everyman; born into an aristocratic family of the international banking elite, but raised in anonymity of a normal American family. With his unknown birth father's guidance, he discovers and explores the little known world of his ancestors and the world-dominating force they have become. He conducts a thorough study of American history to uncover the influence of the illuminati in the past, and relates that influence to the political and economic conditions affecting the present course of world events and threatening the future of the human race. Ultimately, he uses what her learns about the Illuminati to reveal their plan to the unsuspecting public, to confront the Illuminati in their own arena, and to provide the American public and the world with an antidote to the new World Order. In an anonymous run for the presidency of the United States, John Doe exposes the plans of the Illuminati, and lays down his guidelines for a moral, responsible, and sustainable world; the philosophy of Futurism. Through his own journey of enlightenment, John Doe himself discovers what it means to be a Shadow King.

Synopsis Junior by : Ray Donley
"Junior is a diary kept by Joshua Jennings, Jr. of the three years he spent evading law enforcement authorities seeking to arrest him for blowing up the president, vice president, and his father, Joshua Jennings, Sr., at a campaign rally. Junior was eventually exonerated but then promptly disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again. Junior's diary, however, was published and became one of the world's most popular books.Junior is a 21st century Americanized version of the three year ministry of Jesus Christ, only funnier and without the gory ending. Think the gospel of John written in a Vonnegut/Hiaasen style. Joshua is the Hebrew form of the Greek name Jesus."--

Synopsis Out West by : Diane Powell
This is the story of Sydney's much maligned western suburbs: how the city spread across the plains to the Blue Mountains, and why the 'westie' stigma haunts the people of the region. Resourceful and innovative, the people of the western suburbs have created a culture of their own, defying the 'westie' stigma. Out West uncovers the intricate social and cultural networks that make western Sydney a dynamic and stimulating place to live. Out West looks at how the land of the Darug people of the Cumberland Plain was first settled by whites in colonial times. It then traces the development of the 'westie' stigma from the time of inner-city slum clearances to post-war immigration and the more recent waves of moral panic about the youth of the region. It focuses in particular upon the way in which the media have contributed to the maintenance of the 'westie' image.
