Synopsis Three Lionesses by : Ella Toone
An empowering and uplifting guide from THREE legendary Lionesses, Ella Toone, Georgia Stanway and Nikita Parris. Lionesses are brave. They fiercely look out for one another. They stick together. And they will roar as loud as they need to, to make sure their voices are heard. Ella, Georgia and Nikita have learned so much from football that can apply to everyday life, from joining a new squad, to stepping up to take a penalty, and getting back up when life (or a footballer) knocks you down. With the true stories of how they got to where they are today and tons of practical tips, this book will help young readers embrace who they are, ignite their spark, go after their goals and find their team - because no Lioness is complete without their pride. Are you ready to embrace your inner Lioness? Written with Sunday Times bestselling author Cheryl Rickman

Synopsis Born Free by : Joy Adamson
Fifty years ago Joy Adamson first introduced to the world the story of her life alongside Elsa the lioness, whom she had rescued as an orphaned cub, and raised at her home in Kenya. But as Elsa had been born free, Joy made the heartbreaking decision that she must be returned to the wild when she was old enough to fend for herself. Since the first publication of Born Free and its sequels Living Free and Forever Free, generations of readers have been enchanted, inspired and moved by these books’ uplifting charm and the remarkable interaction between Joy and Elsa. Millions have also come to know and love Born Free through the immortal film starring Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers. But here is the chance to rediscover the original story in this 50th anniversary edition, in the words of the woman who reared Elsa and walked with the lions.

Synopsis Medusa’S Cause by : P. E. Zimmerman
Love is immeasurable On an isolated cape high above a churning sea, a mysterious young woman of enchanting beauty enters a lonely temple. Lulled there by inconceivable desire, it is a clandestine meeting that will forever alter her fate. Wishing only to capture the love of a god, she instead commits a grievous act of sin against an angry goddess and sets in motion a chain of events that not only tears her world apart, but those that love her as well... In a world ruled by men, and explained by myth, two brave sisters must break the rules and embark on a perilous journey. Divided by difference, yet united by a singular cause, they must go out into a world that is at once cruel and capricious; a world which often views and treats women as being no better than slaves It is a journey that will take them across the width and breadth of ancient Greece. From the highest of mountains, to the deepest of valleys; to the most fabled of lands where myths come to life and futures are told, and finally, to the dark confines of the Underworld itself in search of answers. It is a journey that will see them pitted against unforeseen challenges and dangers, and at times against each other. But as their journey of struggle and discovery unfolds, something unusual begins to take shape, and the question of what happened to their sister is invariably replaced with one of a much deeper meaning How far would you go to save the soul of someone you love?

Synopsis The Social Life of the Lion by : J.A. Rudnai
THE HABITAT Nairobi National Park lies to the south-southeast of the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, where the Athi Plains meet the Eastern escarpment of the Rift Valley. These plains form part of the semi-arid highland plateau lying between the coast and the Rift Valley. Both the city itself, and the Park bordering it, are a meeting place of two generally distinct types of landscape and climate. While to the east-southeast are semi-arid plains with grasslands and scattered trees, the western-north western parts are higher, hilly, cooler, more humid and support lush forests. The combination of latitude-a little over one degree south of the Equator -and altitude-average of 1600 m. (5000-5500 ft.) -combine to give Nairobi a most equable climate where the temperature varies during the year between about 11 degrees and 27 degrees centigrade (mean minimum and mean maximum for eight years). However, considerable changes are usually experienced within each day and a rise from 14 degrees C at 0600 hours to 22 degrees at 1100 hours is not unusual. Nairobi Park has a unique concentration of wild animals living in their natural habitat less than 10 km. from the centre of a modern city of half a million people. The only interference with the natural course of events in the Park is that normally required for the proper management of a game park, such as maintenance of roads and dams, and, in this particular case, partial fencing towards the city.
