Synopsis The Woodzee Chronicles: Book 1 - Demon Blood by : Uschi Zietsch
"A great fantasy adventure that is impossible to resist after the first few pages." Lies-und-lausch "More legends, heroism and epicness you will rarely find." Mediamania The great epic about young knight Rowarn and his battle companions. Centuries ago, a magical artifact shattered into seven pieces during a murderous war. Only the Two-Splitted, it is said, can heal the Tabernacle - but no one knows what will happen. Who might it be? Will he use the powers for good or for bad? Twenty-year-old Rowarn grew up in the isolated valley of Inniu with foster parents, the centaur-like Velerii. Events come to a head when Rowarn's tranquil world is shaken by the gruesome murders of young girls - and when a band of knights appears from a land beyond the mountains, ready to enlist recruits to fight for the Tabernacle. Rowarn's first test is to solve the girl's murders. It looks like he's involved because of his past. And in doing so, he drives himself into the story. Out of a thirst for revenge, he will eventually follow the knights, as he learns who his mother is, that he should soon travel to her - but that she was murdered by the demon Nightfire. Gradually, however, Rowarn must realize that his part in the struggle for the artifact is far more significant, and revenge only secondary. Rowarn enters Free Houses where the doors do not always lead to the same places, crosses wandering forests and dives into enchanted springs.

Synopsis Brouwer meets Husserl by : Mark van Atten
Can a line be analysed mathematically such a way that it does not fall apart into a set of discrete points? Are there objects of pure mathematics that can change through time? L. E. J. Brouwer argued that the two questions are related and that the answer to both is "yes", introducing the concept of choice sequences. This book subjects Brouwer's choice sequences to a phenomenological critique in the style of Husserl.

Synopsis Jesus and Moses Are Buried in India, Birthplace of Abraham and the Hebrews! by : Gene D. Matlock
Jesus and Moses are Buried in India, Birthplace of Abraham and the Hebrews! is a new kind of biblical history that brings out facts, not myths and guessing games. Unlike priests and preachers, who exhort their followers to swallow lies and spiritual ordure, I don't want my readers to swallow what I say naively. They should check all my references for themselves. This book follows the ancestors of the Hebrews from Eastern Siberia down to what is now the Indian subcontinenet; later, to what is now Israel. You'll be surprised to find out who and what Jehovah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Jesus really were. The book also blasts dangerous myths, such as the Christian fundamentalists' assertion that "God" wants nearly all Jews to die in a "Battle of Armageddon." That war happened in India, thousands of years ago. We're now in Millennium 2000. It's time for mankind to let truth take over his existence.

Synopsis Nature, the Soul, and God, 2nd Edition by : Jean W. Rioux
The full title of Newton’s Principia is “The Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy.” Sadly, some contemporary philosophers might be hard-pressed to say just what natural philosophy is about—sadly, because it remains foundational to questions arising in other disciplines: metaphysics, ethics, philosophical psychology, and the philosophy of god, to name a few. In Nature, the Soul, and God, Jean Rioux has brought together primary readings in the philosophy of nature, presenting ways in which philosophers conceive of and account for the natural world in a pre-scientific reflection upon the way things are. Its three main sections comprise: a consideration of what the world would look like if natural philosophy were not possible, some representative natural philosophies (materialism, formalism, dualism, and hylomorphism), as well as an investigation into the implications these philosophies of nature have for other important questions, such as human freedom and the immortality of the human soul. Through the medium of philosophers both ancient and modern, Rioux makes the point that one’s philosophical account of the natural world will inevitably have an impact upon how one regards oneself, and even things divine. It all begins with nature.
