All of the Kitten Surname have traced their roots to Ibbenburen, West Germany with their address "From Kitte To Hollenberke", Cousin Reinhold Kitten lives on this land which has been owned by the Kitten Family since the 1100's. The name "Kitte" in German means CEMENT. The mountain is being mined even today for coal and cement products. Some German plurals are often formed by adding an "n" so one could say that the name "Kitten" could easily be translated as "the people from Kitte."
