Synopsis Mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven by : Deborah Bouchard
Perhaps you have thought of the kingdom that Jesus talked about but can't put your finger on the concept. In this book, Mystery of the Kingdom of God, you will see the thread of love that Jesus walked as He leaves the purity and love of Heaven to bring the kingdom of God back to the earth and deliver it to its rightful heirs, mankind. Beginning with the loss of the dominion of earth by Adam and it being transferred to Satan, we will travel through time as God and Jesus discuss the need of a redeemer to bring mankind back to the heart of God. We see Jesus graciously accept the challenge to humble Himself by becoming human and doing the only thing that will enable man to again have a personal relationship with the Father God, through His sacrifice on the cross. As the reader explores the simple message of Jesus, they will come to realize who He was, what the kingdom of heaven is, where it is, and why it is so important that Jesus complete His mission on earth.

Synopsis The Secret of The Kingdom by : Mika Waltari
Against a background of the strife-torn land of Judea two thousand years ago, Mika Waltari has written what is certainly his most important novel. Seeking the meaning to his life in the study of philosophy, the young Roman. Marcus Manilianus, discovers in an Alexandrian library a vast number of predictions, all tending to confirm his own feeling that the world is about to enter upon a new era. Two chance encounters with Jews who proclaim the coming of a world leader whom they call the Messiah or King, cause Marcus to resolve to make a visit to the Holy City of the Jews. He arrives outside Jerusalem in time to see crowds—some curious, some shocked—staring up at three crosses on a nearby mound. Above the center cross, an inscription had been fixed: JESUS OF NAZARETH, KING OF THE JEWS. The quest that ensues leads Marcus through all parts of Jerusalem and into contact with men and women of all stations of life who had known this remarkable man. And by degrees, wonderful if strange things are revealed to him of Jesus’ teaching, and he experiences the odd sensation of almost believing in the destiny of this crucified Roman among the alien Jews, Stands alone on the borderline of two worlds, feelings he belongs to neither, and it becomes vital to him to find “the way, “the Kingdom,” to again knowledge and certainty, not merely belief. What follows, as Marcus pursues his search for the promised secret of the Kingdom, bring to a climax as exciting and deeply moving a novel as Mika Waltari, certainly one of the world’s outstanding historical novelists, has ever written. It is a story of a time long past, yet it deals with a theme as modern as today: the dilemma of modern man and his culture in gaining and retaining a faith. And always present throughout the novel is the splendor, the irony and humor which have so delighted millions of readers of other Waltari novels from The Egyptian to The Etruscan.

Synopsis The Kingdom of God by : Nicholas Perrin
In the last hundred and fifty years the kingdom of God has emerged as one of the most important topics in theology, New Testament studies, and the life of the church. But what exactly is the kingdom of God? What does it mean for the people of God and what does it mean for how they live in the world? In The Kingdom of God, part of the Biblical Theology for Life series, Nicholas Perrin explores this dominant biblical metaphor, one that is paradoxically the meta-center and the mystery in Jesus' proclamation. After survey interpretations by figures from Ritschl to N. T. Wright, Perrin examines the "what, who, and how" questions of the kingdom. In his sweepingly comprehensive study, Perrin contends that the kingdom is inaugurated in Jesus' earthly ministry, but its final development awaits later events in history. In between the times, however, the people of God are called to participate in the reign of God by living out the distinctly kingdom-ethic through hope, forgiveness, love, and prayer. X

Synopsis The Mystery of God by : Steven D. Boyer
How can I know God if he is incomprehensible? Is it possible to know God in a way that takes seriously the fact that he is beyond knowledge? Steven Boyer and Christopher Hall argue that the "mystery of God" has a rightful place in theological discourse. They contend that considering divine incomprehensibility invites reverence and humility in our thinking and living as Christians and clarifies a variety of theological topics. The authors begin by investigating the biblical, historical, and practical foundations for understanding the mystery of God. They then spell out its implications for theological issues and practices such as the incarnation, salvation, and prayer, rooting knowledge of God in a concrete life of faith. Evangelical yet ecumenical, this book will appeal to theology students, pastors, church leaders, and all who want intellectual and practical guidance for knowing the unknowable God.

The kingdom of God and heaven. The mysteries of the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 13:11). The riches of the glory of the mystery (Colossians 1:27). The kingdom of God is an eternal mystery. It is beyond human comprehension, because the only true God is an eternal mystery and revelation. He is so glorious and wonderful - and infinitely, eternally more - He is beyond human understanding. Those who find Him and His kingdom and make it to heaven will be in awe of Him, forever. He is indescribable, incomprehensible, unfathomable. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipresent. He is life, love, eternity. He is holy. He will be beyond human words, forever. Yet, He has revealed Himself and His kingdom. He is not a mystery. He is available. He is a present reality. His kingdom can be seen, entered, experienced, and infinitely more. The only true God and His eternal kingdom can be summed up in one word: Jesus. Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Enter His kingdom and live forever in glory.

Synopsis Mysteries of the Kingdom by : Mar Awa Royel
Mysteries of the Kingdom is a modern-day treatise on the theology of the Assyrian Church of the East regarding the seven holy sacraments of the Church. The title is inspired by the words of our Lord to his disciples: "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given" (Matthew 13:11). The sacraments are the visible, material means of God's saving grace, which is itself unseen and immaterial; this he gives to us freely out of his own love and mercy. The theological foundations for the sacraments lay in the fact that the Word of God was Incarnate for our salvation. However, the sacraments become spiritually efficacious and beneficial for our salvation in the power of the Paschal Mysterythe passion, death, burial and triumphant resurrection of Christ Jesus. The faithful must be initiated in the doctrine and theology of the sacraments so that they may know and gain spiritual benefit from those means which God has given us to impart his unseen and uncreated grace to us. The bases upon which this treatise is written is the Apostolic Tradition of the Holy Church, which exists in both its written (the Sacred Scriptures) and oral forms (the Apostolic and Patristic writings).
