He’s in for a pleasant surprise when he finds out Lefille’s taken the same job, but sunny skies quickly turn ominous as a perfect storm of chaos and intrigue looms on the horizon. It turns out Suimei and Lefille will hit danger, darkness, blood, and betrayal—all before they even reach the Empire. Meanwhile, Reiji and his group hit their own patch of rough weather.

He’ll be hard pressed to win against her in his current compromised condition, but fortunately for Suimei, he’s got more than just magicka on his side. When the dust settles, will he still be able to save Liliana... from her past, her darkness, and even her own father?

Suimei and company’s showdown with the imperial princess comes to an unexpectedly... diplomatic... conclusion, marking the end to the mysterious coma incidents in the capital. Suimei has his suspicions, but he doesn’t have long to dwell on them. Between trying to find a way home and trying to survive a threat from within, he’s busier than ever.
