Synopsis The Ianto Trilogy by : John Russell Herbert
This is a work of pure fiction, deeply subjectivist. It is comprised of elements having been copyrighted earlier, some of which have been put out using my former pen name "Ianto Griffeth". The Song of Ianto: Internal Exile of the Exposed Unknown, was actually the first-completed of the three novellas. Due to the despair and sin found therein, the "sequel", An Insurrection of Gods: Ianto's Redemption, took on that motif, that of "redemption". All these works undulate between a flat sort of existentialism and deeply inspired metanarrative. The "late-completed prequel", Prelude: Ianto's Montage of Dreams, was something I put together using very early writing juxtaposed with brand new material, some chronologically fitting, within the fictitious biography of the protagonist, some consciously "a-chronological", all this having to do with subjectivism, and metanarrative.

Synopsis Like A Black Fire by : John Russell Herbert
This work was largely begun on the premises of the opening French paragraph, having to do with the human animal, "dark", erudite but not necessarily rational, and its vulnerability to the vicissitudes of fortune. It has partially to do with digital estrangement from the conditions of nature. It is a dark and brooding thing, very Old World in most of its aesthetics, but premised in the context of the digital media. This is a bit "decadent", having no genre in mind, having no political or otherwise paradigm keeping it doctrinally ordered. The linguistic aspects took on lives of their own, aside from any "self-expressive" impetus behind the work.

Synopsis Unlocking the Love-Lock by : Ceri Houlbrook
Explores the worldwide popularity of the love-lock as a ritual token of love and commitment by considering its history, symbolism, and heritage. “[T]his is an eminently enjoyable and thorough investigation of a popular phenomenon through the lens of heritage and folk tradition.”—Sara De Nardi, Western Sydney University A padlock is a mundane object, designed to fulfil a specific – and secular – purpose. A contemporary custom has given padlocks new significance. This custom is ‘love-locking’, where padlocks are engraved with names and attached to bridges in declaration of romantic commitment. This custom became popular in the 2000s, and its dissemination was rapid, geographically unbound, and highly divisive, with love-locks emerging in locations as diverse as Paris and Taiwan; New York and Seoul; Melbourne and Moscow. From the introduction: I was distractedly perusing the photo frame aisle, my eyes skimming the generically sentimental stock pictures of happy families smiling at the camera, pretty landscapes, cute pets and couples walking hand-in-hand, when I came across one that jumped out at me.... I recognised the image instantly as a photograph of love-locks: the padlocks that had been appearing en masse on bridges and other public structures on a global scale since the early 2000s. And, having been researching the custom known as lovelocking for about five years at that point, it was with a peculiar sense of pride that I realised love-locks had accomplished the status of a stock image.

Synopsis How Green Was My Valley by : Richard Llewellyn
"How Green Was My Valley" is Richard Llewellyn's bestselling -- and timeless -- classic and the basis of a beloved film. As Huw Morgan is about to leave home forever, he reminisces about the golden days of his youth when South Wales still prospered, when coal dust had not yet blackened the valley. Drawn simply and lovingly, with a crisp Welsh humor, Llewellyn's characters fight, love, laugh and cry, creating an indelible portrait of a people.

Unsolved wrongdoings reappear with unexpected consequences; bitter family resentment unfolds with dramatic results but, through it all, the strong ties of family and close friends throw a net of loyalty and support over those in need. After qualifying as a teacher, Jennifer moved to the Isle of Wight, where she still lives with her husband, Chris. She has twin grown-up daughters. This is Jennifer's third novel and is the final book of 'The Abercerig Trilogy'.
