Synopsis Magic The Gathering The Visual Guide by : Jay Annelli

Explore the planes of magic on a spellbinding journey of discovery Magic: The Gathering is a fantastical Multiverse of mystical beings, fabled realms, and mythical creatures. Dominating all are the mighty sorcerers known as planeswalkers. To be a planeswalker is to be powerful beyond measure—a wizard who can bend magic to their will and step through the veil of reality itself. These fearsome mages cross between the planes of existence, battling to save others or to destroy them, to fight darkness or to create it. Magic: The Gathering Visual Dictionary illuminates the wondrous worlds they traverse, reveals their arcane lore, weapons, artifacts, and spells, and recounts their legendary exploits. Produced in close collaboration with Wizards of the Coast and featuring never before published profiles of new planes, such as Strixhaven and Kaldheim, this book is the first time MTG’s key characters and locations are showcased in one sumptuous, indispensable, and up-to-date guide to its vast and expanding Multiverse. © 2022 Wizards of the Coast LLC

Synopsis Magic Book One by : Jed MacKay

Based on the global sensation Magic: The Gathering card game, this softcover edition is the first of two volumes collecting the entirety of BOOM! Studios MAGIC comics–the longest continuous run of Magic comics stories ever–plus extras for hardcore fans! The powerful avatar Marit Lage’s incursion was a distraction from the machinations of an evil in their midst. The metal mage Tezzeret learned of a Planeswalker whose powers could amplify magic, Isona Maive. Though the necromancer Liliana Vess tried to mentor her, Maive fell under Tezzeret’s control. After infiltrating the guilds of Ravnica, Tezzeret plans to use the resources of the Ecumenopolis to bend powerful sites of magic across the Multiverse--and Maive--to his ultimate goal: casting the Elderspell and becoming a god. Chandra Nalaar, Garruk Wildspeaker, and Niko Aris join the Ravnican planeswalkers to call for more allies and stop Tezzeret, whatever the cost. Across the vast Multiverse, only Planeswalkers, those gifted with a “spark,” can tap into the raw power of Magic and travel across realms. Three Planeswalkers from rival guilds in the city world of Ravnica–Ral Zarek, Vraska, and Kaya–band together to investigate a cult intending to restore the ancient being Marit Lage to full power. To prevent Lage’s influence from driving every world in the Multiverse to madness and death, many Planeswalkers must fight together, but only one will make the ultimate sacrifice! Included within are the main series by writer Jed MacKay (Moon Knight, Avengers), and artist Ig Guara (Silk), as well artist French Carlomagno. Collects Magic #1-10.

Synopsis The Otherworld Saga: Chains Of Uncertainty by : MSA Wilson

She drove the carving knife directly into the center of it, shattering the glass which encased the compass needle. She pushed the knife into it even further, trying to open it from the outside, as glass clattered to the floor. She had broken her most precious keepsake so her wish would be granted. There had to be something within it, something which would point her in the right direction, and all this time she truly believed she lacked the courage to find it. Now the power of the compass would become hers! "Come on, just a little bit more," Quincy said, trying to remove the needle from the center. That was when the whole world seemed to come to a standstill. She kept trying to shimmy the knife in deeper until she could no longer move. She held her breath out of fear. She felt an immense pressure of heat, an overpowering presence of some sort. Her eyes followed the glowing light of the compass as it had risen from where she had shattered it on top of the wardrobe. It began to burn brighter with heat and light. The metal that comprised the compass began to turn red-hot until it was molten white, superheated from the concentrated energy flow. She watched in awe as the compass reassembled itself after having been broken to pieces. The chains Quincy once wore around her neck began to move fluidly on their own, and the white-hot links wrapped themselves around that of her wrist and left hand as she cried out in excruciating pain. The molten metal melded with flesh as it began to sink beneath her skin. It felt as if her very hand was being torn apart and was melting to pieces. The sharp, unbearable pain was indescribable. Sparks began to fly from the burning compass as it flew closer toward the palm of her left hand. Quincy believed she was going to die. She could not breathe. She felt as if she were being burned alive from the inside out as her body became irradiated with the unbearable heat. The compass seeped into the scalding wound which had been gouged into her hand.
