Synopsis The F-frame Moultons by : Tony Hadland
"My intention in the creation of the Moulton bicycle was to take the evolution of that most remarkable device a stage beyond its classical form. In other words to produce a bicycle which was more pleasing to have and to use....One of the most pleasing consequences of the Moulton bicycle epic so far has been the spontaneous growth of the Moulton Users' groups: and to meet and to ride with them gives me special pleasure." -- Dr. Alex Moulton *** The purpose of this book is twofold. It introduces the Moulton bicycle to the many people - cyclists and non-cyclists alike - who either know nothing of it or whose knowledge is limited by the virtual disappearance of this extraordinary machine from our roads; by the numerous myths circulating about it and by the cursory mention it receives in most cycling books. Additionally, the book offers to Moulton owners and devotees a further appreciation of the background history and capability of the bike. Synopsis The Finite Volume Method in Computational Fluid Dynamics by : F. Moukalled
This textbook explores both the theoretical foundation of the Finite Volume Method (FVM) and its applications in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Readers will discover a thorough explanation of the FVM numerics and algorithms used for the simulation of incompressible and compressible fluid flows, along with a detailed examination of the components needed for the development of a collocated unstructured pressure-based CFD solver. Two particular CFD codes are explored. The first is uFVM, a three-dimensional unstructured pressure-based finite volume academic CFD code, implemented within Matlab. The second is OpenFOAM®, an open source framework used in the development of a range of CFD programs for the simulation of industrial scale flow problems. With over 220 figures, numerous examples and more than one hundred exercise on FVM numerics, programming, and applications, this textbook is suitable for use in an introductory course on the FVM, in an advanced course on numerics, and as a reference for CFD programmers and researchers.

Synopsis Projective Geometry by : Albrecht Beutelspacher
Projective geometry is not only a jewel of mathematics, but has also many applications in modern information and communication science. This book presents the foundations of classical projective and affine geometry as well as its important applications in coding theory and cryptography. It also could serve as a first acquaintance with diagram geometry. Written in clear and contemporary language with an entertaining style and around 200 exercises, examples and hints, this book is ideally suited to be used as a textbook for study in the classroom or on its own.

Synopsis Europe by Milk Run by : Rory Moulton
With ample humor and humility, Europe by Milk Run uncovers Europe's greatest treasures. When an acquaintance of author Rory Moulton declares that traveling Europe "isn't real travel," Rory sets out to prove him wrong. In this hilarious and gripping solo travel memoir, the author rides slow trains, explores off-beat neighborhoods and attractions, eats at restaurants so lost in time he's amazed they know when to open and befriends unforgettable characters, some of whom actually like him. Rory embarks with little more than a backpack, Eurail Pass and a vague notion of which direction he should be traveling. Along the way, he: repels a cat invasion in Amsterdam, loses all his money and documents, witnesses a magical sunset in a ruined church, meets WWII-doubting Kiwis, investigates a haunted Spanish prison, explores Europe's most beautiful, albeit abandoned, train station and much more... Europe by Milk Run shows that traveling Europe at ground level reveals the Continent's greatest treasures.

Synopsis Depression and Diabetes by : Wayne Katon
In recent years, there has been a growing awareness of the multiple interrelationships between depression and various physical diseases. The WPA is providing an update of currently available evidence on these interrelationships by the publication of three books, dealing with the comorbidity of depression with diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Depression is a frequent and serious comorbid condition in diabetes, which adversely affects quality of life and the long-term prognosis. Co-occurrent depression presents peculiar clinical challenges, making both conditions harder to manage. Depression and Diabetes is the first book devoted to the interaction between these common disorders. World leaders in diabetes, depression and public health synthesize current evidence, including some previously unpublished data, in a concise, easy-to-read format. They provide an overview of the epidemiology, pathogenesis, medical costs, management, and public health and cultural implications of the comorbidity between depression and diabetes. The book describes how the negative consequences of depression in diabetes could be avoided, given that effective depression treatments for diabetic patients are available. Its practical approach makes the book ideal for all those involved in the management of these patients: psychiatrists, psychologists, diabetologists, general practitioners, diabetes specialist nurses and mental health nurses.
