Synopsis The Desired Marriage by : Lokey Howell IV
I wrote this book because God told me to. Nobody ever got married with the intentions of getting divorced. Many of us have no idea what to do after the wedding. What does that even look like? What about generational curses? What about demonic warfare? The Bible says that we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood. We hear aEURoefor better or worse,aEUR but what do we do when it gets worse? God has details on what that looks like. The Holy Ghost told me what to say. God never wastes any time, and pain always births purpose. God used all the experiences that I have encountered personally and with people that I have counseled to put together detailed learned lessons. You ever ask God for help, and you want God to be specific? There were things that I went through that I had no control over, and there were times when I ignored GodaEUR(tm)s warnings. Do you follow your heart or your head? This is why the title is the Desired MarriageaEUR"to help you have the marriage that God has designed for you, the relationship that you desire that can lead to the marriage, how during the relationship both of you can work on things that can better prepare you for later. IaEUR(tm)ve seen small things that could have been fixed, but some didnaEUR(tm)t know how this could end the relationship or marriage. They just didnaEUR(tm)t know how to go about things. This book will push you to your potential and challenge you to be the best you that you can be. The person you are married to deserves a better version of you. This book will help you deal with friction between the person that you have a child/children with. The Bible tells us to walk by faith and not by sight. God had you in mind when He created this book. Synopsis Love Marriage by : Monica Ali
Set in London now, Love Marriage marks the magnificent return of Monica Ali, the Booker Prize shortlisted, "splendid, daring, brilliant, refreshing" novelist (The New Republic) "with an inborn generosity that cannot be learned" (The New York Times Book Review). Yasmin Ghorami in twenty-six, in training to be a doctor (like her Indian-born father), and engaged to the charismatic, upper-class Joe Sangster, whose formidable mother, Harriet, is a famous feminist. The gulf between families is vast. So, too, is the gulf in sexual experience between Yasmin and Joe. As the wedding day draws near, misunderstandings, infidelities, and long-held secrets upend both Yasmin's relationship and that of her parents, a "love marriage," according to the family lore that Yasmin has believed all her life. A gloriously acute observer of class, sexual mores, and the mysteries of the human heart, Monica Ali has written a captivating social comedy and a profoundly moving, revelatory story of two cultures, two families, and two people trying to understand one another. Monica Ali's Brick Lane was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award, and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. It was named a best book of the year by The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic.

Synopsis Young and in Love by : Ted Cunningham
What if We’ve Got This Purity Thing All Wrong? In Young and In Love, pastor, author, and speaker Ted Cunningham boldly argues that young love should be celebrated, even promoted. Early marriages can be God’s will and often provide the key to sexual purity. With this in mind, Cunningham shares the secrets to a successful early marriage with those in their late teens and early twenties who are in love. This book suits anyone experiencing young love who struggles with naysayers who dismiss or hinder a God-designed relationship. It also addresses young adults who struggle with the teachings of other popular books on abstinence or on delaying dating or marriage. And it offers parents and pastors who feel concerned about a relationship a source of wise counsel that carefully prepares young adults for a godly marriage.

Synopsis Marriage, a History by : Stephanie Coontz
Just when the clamor over "traditional" marriage couldn’t get any louder, along comes this groundbreaking book to ask, "What tradition?" In Marriage, a History, historian and marriage expert Stephanie Coontz takes readers from the marital intrigues of ancient Babylon to the torments of Victorian lovers to demonstrate how recent the idea of marrying for love is—and how absurd it would have seemed to most of our ancestors. It was when marriage moved into the emotional sphere in the nineteenth century, she argues, that it suffered as an institution just as it began to thrive as a personal relationship. This enlightening and hugely entertaining book brings intelligence, perspective, and wit to today’s marital debate.

Synopsis Love by the Glass by : Dorothy J. Gaiter
“I am deeply inspired by this heartwarming story of how two people found love and—even better—a way to get paid for drinking wine.” —Dave Barry Internationally renowned journalists Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher present a captivating memoir about falling in love with each other and with wine. She grew up in the all-black environment of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. He was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, where his was one of a handful of Jewish families. When they met on June 4, 1973, in the newsroom of The Miami Herald, she says, “I felt in my bones like I had known him forever.” And he says, “I felt the instant I saw her that we had always been together, and knew we always would be.” That passion for each other and for wine has made their column a must-read for millions of neophyte and veteran wine lovers, who also follow their appearances on Martha Stewart’s TV show. The annual global celebration of wine that they created, “Open That Bottle Night,” encourages readers to finally drink that special wine they have been keeping. As Dottie and John write, “Wine can conjure up memories in a way that few other things can,” whether it’s a rare Burgundy or a bottle of cold duck. Frank J. Prial of The New York Times said of their first book, The Wall Street Journal Guide to Wine, “Their enthusiasm for the grape . . . is exceeded only by their enthusiasm for each other. It spills over on every other page.” Indeed, John and Dottie say they don’t write a wine column; they write a column about more important things. This book follows them from love at first sight, through a life of journalism, to a triumph on the basketball court at Madison Square Garden. You’ll discover the joys of wine along with them, but you’ll also discover that wine is really about good times, bad times, moments shared with loved ones, and new friends. It’s about memories. It’s about life.
