The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990, volume 3, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from August 15 through November 24, 1990. Brother Lee remained in Anaheim, California, from the first part of May until the end of the third week in August. During that time he visited Long Beach, California. At the end of August Brother Lee visited San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the middle of October. During that period he briefly visited San Diego and San Bernardino, California. In the middle of October Brother Lee traveled to the Far East and remained there until the first part of November. During that period he visited Taipei, Taiwan, and then Kota Kinabalu, Sibu, Kuching, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In the middle of November he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into ten sections, as follows: 1. Six messages given in Anaheim, California, on August 15 through September 26. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Prophecy of the Four "Sevens" in the Bible and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Ten messages given in San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley, California, on August 24 through September 2. They were previously published in a book entitled The Economy and Dispensing of God and are included in this volume under the same title. Chapters 1 through 4 and 6 were spoken in Chinese. 3. Four messages given in San Francisco and Berkeley, California, on August 26 through September 3. They are included in this volume under the title Fellowship with the Church in San Francisco, California, and with the Young People, the College Students, and the Church in Berkeley, California. 4. A message given in Berkeley, California, on September 2. This message was previously published in a booklet entitled God, Education, and Character. It is included in this volume as chapter 2 of Fellowship with the Church in San Francisco, California, and with the Young People, the College Students, and the Church in Berkeley, California. Therefore, it is not reprinted in this section. 5. Two messages given in Berkeley, California, on September 2 and 3. They are included in this volume under the title Fellowship with the Elders concerning Carrying Out the Lord's New Way and Keeping the Oneness and One Accord in the Church. The two messages were combined into one chapter. 6. Four messages given in San Diego and San Bernardino, California, on September 15 through 23. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Divine Dispensing for the Divine Economy and are included in this volume under the same title. 7. A message given in San Bernardino, California, on September 22. This message was previously published in a book entitled The Basic Principles for the Practice of the God-ordained Way and is included in this volume under the same title. 8. Ten messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 14 through 22. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Vision of the Divine Dispensing and Guidelines for the Practice of the New Way and are included in this volume under the same title. 9. Seventeen messages given in Chinese in Kota Kinabalu, Sibu, Kuching, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, on October 24 through November 5. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled A Deeper Study of the Divine Dispensing and are included in this volume under the same title. 10. Seven messages given in Chinese in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, on October 24 through November 6. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Up-to-date Presentation of the God-ordained Way and the Signs concerning the Coming of Christ and are included in this volume under the same title. 11. Five messages given in Anaheim, California, on November 22 through 24. They are included in this volume under the title The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Church as the Body of Christ.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989, volume 3, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from August 29 through December 16, 1989. Brother Lee spent the last half of 1989 in Anaheim, California. The contents of this volume are divided into two sections, as follows: 1. Thirty-two messages given in Anaheim, California, on August 29 through December 15. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Experience and Growth in Life and are included in this volume under the same title. Two of the thirty-two messages were combined. 2. Thirty-one messages given in Anaheim, California, on August 30 through December 16. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Exercise and Practice of the God-ordained Way.

This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a limited review of the International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones held in Águas de Lindóia, Brazil on October 1-3, 2015. The general subject of the training was “The Crucial Points of the Major Items of the Lord’s Recovery Today.” Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

A Study Guide and a Teacher’s Manual Gospel Principles was written both as a personal study guide and as a teacher’s manual. As you study it, seeking the Spirit of the Lord, you can grow in your understanding and testimony of God the Father, Jesus Christand His Atonement, and the Restoration of the gospel. This issue of The Ministry of the Word contains the first eight messages given during the spring 1998 term of the full-time training in Anaheim, California. The first two messages serve as an introduction to the general subject of this series, which is "The Overcomers." Message 1 speaks of our need to see a vision of Zion. According to Revelation 14:1, the overcomers, the firstfruits, stand on Mount Zion. In typology the city of Jerusalem signifies the church, but Mount Zion in the city of Jerusalem signifies the overcomers, who are the strength, the uplifting, and the supply of the church. The highest peak in God's economy is Zion, the reality of the Body of Christ, and we need to endeavor in the church life to reach this high peak. The Lord's recovery today is to build up Zion, the reality of the Body of Christ, by gaining the overcomers, who are the vital ones in all the churches. Message 2 shows that the work of the overcomers is to allow their self to remain in the place of death so that they can be channels of life to dispense life into others to meet God's need. The Lord's selection is not according to our concept. God has a way to gather a sufficient number of self-denying, idol-crushing followers to be one with Him as a blended barley loaf in resurrection to roll over the tents of His enemy. These overcomers are particularly selected to fight in one accord to defeat the enemy, with the result that the whole Body is revived. The remaining messages in this issue begin a detailed consideration of the epistles in Revelation 2 and 3 to the seven churches. These epistles issue a call for overcomers to respond to the speaking Spirit to overcome particular items of degradation in the churches. Messages 3 through 8 speak of the Lord's call for the overcomers in Ephesus, Smyrna, and Pergamos. The Reports and Announcements section at the end of this issue contains a report regarding the Lord's move in Brazil and the full-time training in Caacupe, Paraguay and a list of upcoming conferences and trainings sponsored by Living Stream Ministry.

In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 1 through 4 of The Exercise and Practice of the God-ordained Way, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989. These chapters cover a thorough view of the God-ordained way (the basic principles), the exercise and practice of the gospel preaching in the God-ordained way, definite steps needed for practicing the New Testament priesthood of the gospel, and points for fulfilling the priesthood of the gospel.The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 3 through 6 of Fellowshipping with the Lord for the Mingling of God with Man, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1961–1962. These chapters speak on fellowship and the mingling of God with man, learning to fellowship, the difference between the spirit and the soul, and death and resurrection and the salvation of the soul.The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 51 through 54 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters cover how to know the genuine leading by the Spirit, a daily living under the leading by the Spirit, the leading of the Spirit being for living, not for doing, and the genuine and proper living of the sons of God.The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapters 3 through 6 of The Issue of the Dispensing of the Processed Trinity and the Transmitting of the Transcending Christ, which are in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993. These chapters cover the issue of God the Spirit's dispensing speaking forth the application of God's accomplished purpose, the issue of the transmitting of the transcending Christ, the church, and the Body of Christ.
