Preaching Apocrypha in Anglo-Saxon England is the first examination of Christian apocrypha in Anglo-Saxon England, focusing on the use of biblical narratives in Old English sermons. This work demonstrates that apocryphal media are a substantial part of the apparatus of Christian tradition inherited by Anglo-Saxons.

The Anonymous Old English Homily: Sources, Composition, and Variation offers important essays on the origins, textual transmission, and (re)use of early English preaching texts between the ninth and the late twelfth centuries. Associated with the Electronic Corpus of Anonymous Homilies in Old English project, these studies provide fresh insights into one of the most complex textual genres of early medieval literature. "This volume presents a revised Greek text and the first English translation of the seven complete homilies that have survived from the pen of Sophronios, the seventh-century patriarch of Jerusalem. The seven surviving sermons were composed for feast days over the course of the Church year. They vary in length, at least in their current form, from a brief three pages for the feast of Saints Peter and Paul to a rather massive thirty-five pages for the Annunciation. In addition to the evidence from two fragments, it is likely that he delivered other sermons during his patriarchate that have not come down to us"--
