Synopsis Wise As a Serpent, Innocent As a Dove by : Alexys V. Wolf
"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16, KJV)."We don't hear much about wisdom in the modern-day churches and, when we do, we hear little about innocence. This day and age is a time of self-serving religion on its best day, not to mention what it is on the worst of days! The King James Version reads "harmless as a dove" whereas the New American Standard reads, "...innocent as doves." Either way, I see a lot of wise people who can preach, teach, prophesy, and more, yet they lack the ability to be innocent or harmless, aka gentle. This book is designed to bring the body of Christ, especially leaders of any vocation, to learn what it is to be innocent and wise at the same time. There's a very good reason as to why God gave such explicit instruction; it's because He understands that, like Lucifer, we can be the wisest of them all yet allow our wisdom to be corrupted by pride.

Synopsis A Wolf Called Romeo by : Nick Jans
From award-winning author and photographer Nick Jans, A Wolf Called Romeo is “beautifully written...a thoughtful and moving story about one of nature’s most evocative animals.” (Patricia B. McConnell, author of The Education of Will and The Other End of the Leash) A Wolf Called Romeo is the true story of the exceptional black wolf who spent seven years interacting with the people and dogs of Juneau, Alaska, living on the edges of their community, engaging in an improbable, awe-inspiring interspecies dance, and bringing the wild into sharp focus. When Romeo first appeared, author Nick Jans and the other citizens of Juneau were wary, but as Romeo began to tag along with cross-country skiers on their daily jaunts, play fetch alongside local dogs, or simply lie near Nick and nap under the sun on a quiet afternoon, Nick and the rest of Juneau came to accept Romeo, and he them. Part memoir, part moving animal narrative, part foray into the mystique, lore, science, and history of the wolf, A Wolf Called Romeo is a book no animal lover should miss. “Jans is an exceptional storyteller — no nature writer can top him in terms of sheer emotional force.”—The New York Times “Jans is a perfect narrator for this story. He’s deeply knowledgeable about the Alaskan wilderness and he evokes its harsh beauties in powerful and poetic prose...A tingling reminder of the basic bond that occasionally spans the space between two species.”—Christian Science Monitor

Synopsis Wolf's Soul by : Jane Lindskold
Firekeeper has always believed that her heart is a wolf’s heart. Now the time has come for her to prove it. Blind Seer’s search for a teacher of the magical arts brought him and Firekeeper to Rhinadei, a land rich in magical lore, but intolerant of those who would rebel against its core precepts. Now, eager to aid Wythcombe, his new teacher, Blind Seer agrees to lend his keen senses to the hunt for Kabot—Wythcombe’s childhood rival and leader of a band of fanatical blood mages. In this hunt, Firekeeper runs as ever at Blind Seer’s side. Rounding out their pack are Laria and Ranz, two young humans with potent magical gifts of their own; Farborn, a yarimaimalom falcon; Wythcombe himself, and the ever enigmatic Meddler. Yet, despite the versatility of this pack, Kabot’s blood mages miraculously elude them, leaving behind the tantalizing scent of more power than they should possess. Suspicion builds that Kabot has acquired a new ally: an ally who may be one of their own pack turned traitor. “A beautiful and complex book.” Publisher’s Weekly on Through Wolf’s Eyes “Thrilling.” Publisher’s Weekly on Wolf Hunting “Intricately plotted, A thought-provoking tale of magic and politics, enlivened by Firekeeper’s wry and wolfish point-of-view.” Publisher’s Weekly on Wolf’s Blood
