A country life surrounded with beauty was the perfect backdrop for me to learn a lot of life's lessons. It afforded times of stillness and calm without a lot of the distractions of city living. The lessons learned have been many. I have had to seek God in stillness of mind and heart. I praised Him often for His goodness and for all the beauty I see around me. I've talked a lot about predators and being safe and finding that place of safety. True safety can only be found when you are abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. I have also learned more about being dependent upon God. A lot of people in the country seek for self-reliance. It's all about what they can do and have with the work they do.
