Synopsis Ambassador Undercover by : David Scott

The main purpose for writing this book is to inform readers about things God did during the seven years we were missionaries in New Zealand. One of those things is what God did to prove to us that the Boxing Day tsunami that hit Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Chennai, India, was a judgment from Him. God also made us aware of why He did it. Another thing is what He did to prove to us the double tsunami that hit the two main islands of Samoa was also a judgment from Him. God also informed us why He did it. We also have evidence in the book that the 7,500 earthquakes and aftershocks that hit Christchurch, New Zealand, were another judgment from God. We also know why God did it. All this is explained in detail in the book. Those things will help readers better understand God's ways and inspire them to trust Him more. May this book strengthen your faith to overcome every challenge you are facing.

Synopsis Mythology of the Soul (Psychology Revivals) by : H.G. Baynes

Originally published in 1940, this classic study of two schizophrenic case-histories further opened up the seemingly intractable problem of this condition; a task preceded by Jung’s own Psychology of Dementia Praecox. It was Baynes’s grasp of the meaning of the symbol coupled with his wide scholarship that enable him to explore the case-histories in such remarkable and fruitful depth, thus linking pathological psychology through graphic expression and the dream of the myths of mankind and the universal man. This was truly a scientific task. In case 1, the series of dreams, fantasies and active imagination, fully illustrated by the patients’ spontaneous paintings, suggested to him a kind of mythological imagery. Baynes then demonstrates the emergence and development of a hero myth together with its therapeutic effect upon the patient, as an inner personal experience of death and rebirth. Baynes also applied the methods of synthesis to the understanding of modern art and its reflection of the spirit of the times – a realization of the basic split in the socio-religious structure of European Culture. In case 2, the subject was an artist, and out of his own split he seemed to have created a symbolic bridge that would be a therapeutic bridge for himself and a possible model for curing the evil of the times in which we then were living.

What happens in true heaven-sent revival. The theology and practical application of revival. The workings of Holy Spirit during times of revivals. How to discern between God's dynamics and the demonic. How to handle those in the flesh + warnings from Scripture. The Devil as an infiltrator and imitator and how to stand firm. How to deal with physical phenomena and manifestations. Learning the lessons from past revivals and awakenings. The purpose of revival merchandise and memorabilia. The dangers, joys and diversities of genuine revivals. Why we need revival and how we can see it. Through the use of Scripture and church history Understanding Revival reveals how we can intelligently cooperate with the Holy Spirit during times of revivals and awakenings and not reject His workings due to religious affections, physical phenomena or manifestations and that we may not be caught unaware of the tactics of the enemy.

Synopsis The Achilles Heel Reader (Routledge Revivals) by : Victor Seidler

First published in 1991, The Achilles Heel Reader brings together key articles from Achilles Heel, the path-breaking and influential magazine of men's sexual politics. It also includes an important introduction by the editor, setting the magazine in its intellectual and historical context. Achilles Heel, first published in 1978, was a magazine which explored positive conceptions of masculinity and the ways in which men can change in response to the challenge of feminism. It sought to persuade men to take responsibility for the power they share as men in relation to women - and to use this responsibility both in their personal relationships and in challenging the political and social institutions and practices that embody such power. This selection covers crucial issues in men's lives - work, sexuality, children, relationships, family, class, sharing the experience of different masculinities - and brilliantly catches the tensions and anxieties of men trying to cope with the interplay between their sexuality and their political commitments. By bringing the personal and the political together The Achilles Heel Reader reconsiders basic questions of socialist theory and practice. It will be of great value to students of sociology, women's studies, politics and cultural studies, as well as those interested in feminism as part of a process of reworking socialism.
