Synopsis THE Revenge of the Wannabes by : Lisi Harrison

Weeks before Christmas. Alicia and Olivia are on their way to Manhattan so the Teen People editors can do a story on them about winning the Octavian Country Day uniform design contest. When Massie finally processes that the girls who hijacked her victory are also modeling for Teen People, she is livid. It should have been her. 'Ehmagod, what will everyone think when they find out it wasn't me who was asked to model? I will be SO over.' Massie decides it's time to get revenge. This snake can not lay idle in the weeds for one more second. Kristen and Dylan throw out terrible 'revenge' suggestions and Massie vetoes them all. She will think of something! But first she has to go home and exfoliate. The social minefields of Westchester County's most privileged middle school girls drive the page-turning action of this addictive series, set in New York City's most elite suburban county. The Clique . . . the only thing harder than getting in is staying in.

Synopsis Revenge Drama in European Renaissance and Japanese Theatre by : K. Wetmore

Revenge Drama in European Renaissance and Japanese Theatre is a collection of essays that both explores the tradition of revenge drama in Japan and compares that tradition with that in European Renaissance drama. Why are the two great plays of each tradition, plays regarded as defining their nations and eras, Kanadehon Chushingura and Hamlet, both revenge plays? What do the revenge dramas of Europe and Japan tell us about the periods that produced them and how have they been modernized to speak to contemporary audiences? By interrogating the manifestation of evil women, ghosts, satire, parody, and censorship, contributors such as Leonard Pronko, J. Thomas Rimer, Carol Sorgenfrei, Laurence Kominz explore these issues.

Synopsis Revenge of the Girl With the Great Personality by : Elizabeth Eulberg

A hilarious new novel from Elizabeth Eulberg about taking the wall out of the wallflower so she can bloom. Don't mess with a Girl with a Great Personality.Everybody loves Lexi. She's popular, smart, funny ... but she's never been one of those girls, the pretty ones, who get all the attention from guys. And on top of that, her seven-year-old sister, Mackenzie, is a terror in a tiara, part of a pageant scene where she gets praised for her beauty (with the help of fake hair and tons of makeup). Lexi's sick of it. She's sick of being the girl who hears about kisses instead of getting them. She's sick of being ignored by her longtime crush, Logan. She's sick of being taken for granted by her pageant-obsessed mom. And she's sick of having all her family's money wasted on a phony pursuit of perfection. The time has come for Lexi to step out from the sidelines. Girls without great personalities aren't going to know what hit them. Because Lexi's going to play the beauty game -- and she's in it to win it.

Synopsis Recovering by : Alexander

I grew up in a family system where there were a lot of abusive family members. The ones who were not abusive didnt seem to be able to remove themselves or the children from the harmful behavior in our lives. As a child I was extremely nervous and felt a lot of shame. I witnessed a lot of horrible things and was extremely abused myself. I saw how alcoholism enabled certain family members to either act very inappropriately when under the influence or become extremely violent. I saw how alcohol was used to medicate other family members. Some of my family members died rather young I feel due a very stressful life. I began to notice my siblings and my cousins participate in destructive relationships and/or abuse substances. My relationships with them were not healthy ones. I tried for years to find ways to improve my relationships with them but nothing ever worked no matter how hard I tried. This book is about my experiences with family and other unhealthy relationships in my life. How it all affected me from childhood and into adulthood. The steps I had to take to improve my life. I now believe I can have the love and respect I want from others in my life as long as I love and care for myself. I hope my story will help others who have had similar experiences. I have no desire to drink alcohol anymore or to associate with people who abuse it, are abusive, controlling and who cannot be accountable for their behavior. We all deserve to heal and have good relationships in our lives.

NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR, ELLE CASEY, brings readers Book 4, the final installment in the YA Dystopian APOCALYPSIS Series, suitable for older teens and adults. HAVEN. My name’s Bryn Mathis. I'm seventeen years old, and I'm alive at a critical time in our world's history, unlike all the adults and babies who didn't survive the virus that almost wiped out the human race. Alliances are building, enemies are gathering, and everything's about to reach the boiling point. I'm in a race against time to get Haven ready for the final showdown, a confrontation that could very possibly destroy everything my friends and I have worked so hard to create. People I trusted have betrayed me. People who I thought were my enemies are not. Nothing is as it seems, and nothing will ever be the same for me, now that I've embarked on this one last adventure that could be the undoing of everything that is me. Content Warning: Mild violence and some foul language. Meant for older Young Adult readers (age 15+). This book is in the Dark Science Fiction / Horror / Post-Apocalyptic genres, featuring teen characters only. I am always sad to see Elle's series come to an end. Her chillaxed writing style brings an amazingly personal depth to her characters. Haven is no exception. This book will have you angry, then laughing, then crying, and when it’s over you’ll leave wanting more! I gave Haven the full 5 stars it deserves! Elle, you never disappoint! Thank You!!” ~ Chris, Goodreads reviewer “…I’ve already read this series more than once! And with having a ton of TBR books on my kindle (and believe me there are a lot). When I find myself rereading this series more than just one time I think it shows just how GREAT this series is!!”~ Elizabeth, Goodreads reviewer “The final installment to Apocalypsis took me from one extreme to the next. Elle Casey has done it again. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to scream, I held my breath, and I read non-stop from start to finish!" ~ Mandy Jamerson, Goodreads reviewer “Don’t pass this series by! Elle Casey's books are stellar! This series has elements of fear, humour, survival, and romance. The characters are wonderfully developed and you race through each book needing to know what happens. It also is very thought provoking - this terror could happen now…” ~ Penny Streby, Amazon reviewer This series is dedicated to the amazing, wonderful Native Americans who populate our nation, continuing their traditions and reminding the rest of us that sometimes, progress isn’t always the best thing for our people.
