This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the 8th IFIP WG 5.5 International Precision Assembly Seminar, IPAS 2018, held in Chamonix, France, in January 2018. These contributions to the 3rd IPAS'2006 seminar are grouped in 6 sections. Part 1 reviews new techniques for handling and feeding micro parts.
