Synopsis Poems of the Brokenhearted by : Hseham Amrahs
The thematic range of the collection is expansive, covering the various stages of heartbreak – from the initial shock to the gradual emergence of strength and resilience. Some poems delve into the nostalgia of what once was, exploring the remnants of love that linger in memory. Others navigate the storm of emotions that accompany the aftermath, unraveling the threads of attachment and laying bare the vulnerabilities of the human heart. Despite the prevailing melancholy, there is an undercurrent of hope that runs through the collection. The poems are not only a testament to the pain of love lost but also a celebration of the indomitable spirit that emerges from the ashes of heartbreak. They speak to the resilience of the human heart, emphasizing that even in the throes of despair, there is a transformative journey towards self-discovery and renewal. The organization of the collection is deliberate, creating a narrative arc that mirrors the emotional trajectory of heartbreak. The poems are often grouped thematically, guiding readers through the labyrinth of emotions with a sense of coherence. This organization enhances the overall reading experience, creating a flow that mirrors the ebb and flow of the emotional tide.

Synopsis The Cure for Sorrow by : Jan Richardson
When Jan Richardson unexpectedly lost her husband and creative partner, the singer/songwriter Garrison Doles, she did what she had long known how to do: she wrote blessings. These were no sugar-coated blessings. They minimized none of the pain and bewilderment that came in the wake of a wrenching death. With these blessings, Jan entered, instead, into the depths of the shock, anger, and sorrow. From those depths, she has brought forth words that, with heartbreaking honesty, offer surprising comfort and stunning grace. Those who know loss will find kinship among these pages. In these blessings that move through the anguish of rending into the unexpected shelters of solace and hope, there shimmers a light that helps us see we do not walk alone. From her own path of grief, Jan offers a luminous, unforgettable gift that invites us to know the tenacity of hope and to recognize the presence of love that, as she writes, is "sorrow's most lasting cure."

Synopsis Bathroom Poetry by : T.A. Dieringer
This book is not about poetry; it is simply a book to read while one relieves him or herself in the latrine, bathroom, head, or toilet, while taking a crap, dropping a stool, pinching a loaf, dropping the kids off at the lake, I could go on, but I am sure you get the picture. There are quotes from the stalls of many bathroom walls found all over the world. Now since I am male, I did not have a chance to visit many, if any, female bathrooms (sorry, ladies), so I do not have many quotes from said places. Some subject material may be offensive. Please read with cautious trepidation. Some are personal quotes, things that pop into my brain at any given moment. Sometimes these thoughts are followed by bouts of laughter that cause people that are standing near me to think that I am strange. They usually react by walking away fast. But I decided to add these thoughts to Bathroom Poetry anyways. Some quotes are famous and semifamous quotes. Some are unknown author quotes. Many of the quotes were found on the stalls of bathrooms from all over the globe. I have collected many quotes from memory during my travels around the world while serving twenty-one years in the United States Navy. This book is meant for entertainment value only. Any words of wisdom gleaned while reading this book is pure shit-house luck.

Synopsis You're Doing Just Fine by : Charlotte Eriksson
Take a shower, wash off the day. Drink a glass of water. Make the room dark. Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence. Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting. You made it, after all. You made it, another day. And you can make it one more. You're doing just fine. Named after the poem that has been shared over 400,000 times on Tumblr, this is the third book from young author and songwriter Charlotte Eriksson. A collection of prose and poetry with the theme of hope, recovery and finding beauty in the darkness. An exploration of the life of a young artist with an aching heart, urged by a wanderlust that leads and directs, and the simple task of learning how to live with yourself. "Charlotte knows her reader so well that it feels like she's writing my very own journal."

Synopsis Consolations by : David Whyte
In Consolations David Whyte unpacks aspects of being human that many of us spend our lives trying vainly to avoid - loss, heartbreak, vulnerability, fear - boldly reinterpreting them, fully embracing their complexity, never shying away from paradox in his relentless search for meaning. Beginning with 'Alone' and closing with 'Withdrawal', each piece in this life-affirming book is a meditation on meaning and context, an invitation to shift and broaden our perspectives on life: pain and joy, honesty and anger, confession and vulnerability, the experience of feeling overwhelmed and the desire to run away from it all. Through this lens, procrastination may be a necessary ripening; hiding an act of freedom; and shyness something that accompanies the first stage of revelation. Consolations invites readers into a poetic and thoughtful consideration of words whose meaning and interpretation influence the paths we choose and the way we traverse them throughout our lives.
