Jon and his allies now must finish the assault on the battle station, to stop the alien invasion of Earth.

After a fierce firefight inside the battle station, Li Tong, Jon and Miles manage to capture a Wetan Ravager, taking the brainwashed Laveena and Ibranov with them. Before they can get away from Mars, the Earthlings realise that two Wetan engineers are on board. They quickly detain them and launch into space. Soon after their escape they make a dangerous decision to return to Mars to attack the battle station before returning to Earth, but things don’t go to plan...

H.G. Wells, his fiancee Jane, and T.H. Huxley agree to participate in the secret super-science work of Britain's Imperial Institute. Accidentally propelled into space, the trio hear of the Martians' earlier enslavement of the hive-mind Selenites from their leader, the Grand Lunar. Proceeding to Mars, they trigger a revolt among the Selenites and learn of the Martian's invasion plans for Earth.

After the failure of their first scouting expedition to England in 1900, the Martians regrouped, developed means to deal with the deadly Earthly microorganisms, and landed again in 1908. Jon's prototype spaceship has disappeared. He was forced to use the emergency on-board SPOM system to make a hasty retreat blasting through space, heading straight for the Kuiper Belt, and hundreds and thousands of meteors. Mark and Ryon are forced to fight the supporters of Zypson in an intense space battle around Charon, Pluto's moon. Meanwhile on the space station filled with Zypson's evil soldiers, Laveena and Miles have escaped capture. The two Earthlings need to find a way to communicate with Mark and Ryon or risk being captured again. Martian Wars: Demise continues the sci-fi series by Peter Worthington.
