Synopsis Resolution of Doubts: Answers to the inquiry by : Swami Adgadanand
In order to free society from the clutches of misleading religion rituals, Swamiji compiled a book - ‘Shanka Samadhan’ (Doubts and clarifications). In this book, Swamiji has resolved the prevailing pretentious rituals by giving references of the discourses of the great saints and sages as well as citing the dictates of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, the Ramayana and the Purana on topics such as Who should be Worshiped, Religious Rituals (Karmkand), Havan, Yagya (Sacrificial Action), Celibacy, Gayatri, Yuga Dharma, Non-violence (Ahimsa), Sin and Righteousness, Santana Dharma, Varna (Caste System and its Classification), Vipra, Arya, Protection of Cows (Gau Raksha) etc. Essence of Sciences: - In the whole of the Universe, there is only one Religion (Dharma) – attainment of the immortal principle, peace forever, unbound happiness and it all begins with the faith in the Almighty. - Truth is the only Almighty. That what refutes this Truth cannot be called a religion (dharma). If the religion (dharma) does not have this truth then it will become meaningless. - Any body who has the unfaltering faith in the Almighty and recognises Ram or Om as the sign of the same thus chants the name is purely religious even if he does not know what the religion (dharma) is. - That what is forever, un-transformable, ancient, is the religion (dharma) and that what is there today but will not be there tomorrow, destructible is not religion. - There is a single Religion (Dharma) in the Universe. The strife to seek that forever being Almighty is the Religion (Dharma). If there are two almighties then He will need another Universe – to fulfil the same.

Synopsis Ācārya Guņabhadra’s Ātmānuśāsana – Precept on the Soul आचार्य गुणभद्र विरचित "आत्मानुशासन" by : Vijay K. Jain
Ātmānuśāsana (commonly spelled as Atmanushasan) by Ācārya Guņabhadra presents profound concepts of the Jaina Doctrine in a form that is easily understood. Remarkable for its poetry and meaning, it expounds that right faith (samyagdarśana) is the cause of merit, and wrong faith of demerit. To have belief in the true nature of substances is right faith. Dharma is the man’s most excellent possession. The conduct that leads to merit is dharma and it results in happiness after destroying misery. Whether happy or miserable, dharma should be the only pursuit of man. True happiness is not the momentary sprinkling of the pleasures of the senses. Long-life, wealth and sound body are obtained from the previously earned merit (puņya). Under the spell of sinful karmas, the man experiences misery. Excellent men with discrimination work hard, incessantly and cheerfully, for the sake of their future lives. The happiness attained through austerity (tapa) can never be attained by craving for wealth. No dust of disgrace ever touches the feet of the man fortified by austerity. The ascetic goes on to perform austerity while protecting his body, for a very long time. Through the power of austerity he vanquishes his natural enemies, like the passions of anger, etc. In the after-life, he automatically and speedily attains liberation as the culmination of his human effort.

Synopsis Who Should Be Worshipped? by : Swami Adgadanand
Innumerable systems of worships are prevalent these days, instead of one prescribed system of attainment of One God propounded by the Geeta and other scriptures on Yoga. Some might say worshipping the cow is true religion (gau-dharma), whereas according to others Peepal tree (a holy tree) could be true religion (Dharma); while some other might exhort the importance of caste-system (varna) and ashrams. Hence, ‘what is a true Universal Religion’ is the question, baffles many a minds. The question today is similar as ‘Who is our God? Who should be worshipped?’ This is the primary book on the path of worship and spiritual path. Must read.

Synopsis Priests and Politicians by : Osho
"For five thousand years the politician and the priest have been in the same business." In this provocative volume, Osho invites us to look through his microscope and examine not only the profound influence of religion and politics in society, but also its influence in our inner world. To the extent we have internalized and adopted as our own the values and belief systems of the “powers that be,” he says, we have boxed ourselves in, imprisoned ourselves, and tragically crippled our vision of what is possible. From Occupy Wall Street to the Arab Spring, from the election of the first Black president in the United States to the appointment of a new pope who promises to use St. Francis of Assisi as a role model (following endless scandals involving child abuse) the roles of priests and politicians in our public life have recently captured the attention of our times, often just initiating another round of hope and subsequent disillusionment. In other words, wittingly or unwittingly, we keep digging ourselves deeper into the mess we are in. A new kind of world is possible — but only if we understand clearly how the old has functioned up to now. And, based on that understanding, take the responsibility and the courage to become a new kind of human being. "You have to be aware who the real criminals are. The problem is that those criminals are thought to be great leaders, sages, saints, mahatmas. So I have to expose all these people because they are the causes. For example, it is easier to understand that perhaps politicians are the causes of many problems: wars, murders, massacres, burning people. It is more difficult when it comes to religious leaders, because nobody has raised his hand against them. They have remained respectable for centuries, and as time goes on their respectability goes on growing. The most difficult job for me is to make you aware that these people — knowingly or unknowingly, that does not matter — have created this world."

Synopsis Valmiki's Ramayana by : ARSHIA SATTAR
Valmiki's Ramayana, composed as early as 500 BCE, remains a story that speaks to every generation and continues to enthral millions of people in the Subcontinent and beyond. The noble prince Rama is exiled from Ayodhya on his stepmother's whim, and his loyal brother Lakshmana and beautiful wife, Sita, follow him into the forest despite the many dangers it holds. But when Sita is kidnapped by Ravana, king of the rakshasas, Rama must go deep into himself to find the physical and emotional resources he needs to rescue her.Apart from exploring the fundamental human question of how to be good, the Ramayana is also the story of a god who comes to earth to establish righteousness. The tension between Rama's essentially divine nature and his all too human trials makes this one of the most compelling epics in world literature.
