Synopsis Histopathology of Nodal and Extranodal Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomas by : Alfred C. Feller
During the 10 years since the last edition of this volume our knowledge on malignant lymphomas, especially on extranodal lymphomas, has increased. This volume is an expanded and completely revised edition, now based on the WHO classification. The parallels to the updated Kiel classification and the REAL classification are indicated. The information is organized in organ-specific chapters, comprising the well-known nodal lymphoma entities as well as all known extranodal lymphomas and the different organ-specific clinico-pathological entities: lymphomas of the spleen, the gastrointestinal tract, the skin, etc. In addition to the morphology, the major immunohistochemical, molecular genetic, and clinical data are included in each chapter.

Synopsis Malignant Lymphomas Other than Hodgkin’s Disease by : Karl Lennert
A.G. STANSFELD, and J.A.M. VAN UNNIK. In joint discussions in 1974, the Club worked out a new terminology that was acceptable to all members and will hopefully be acceptable to other pathologists. Since then, it has been called the Kiel Classification. We are also pleased that the clinicians belonging to the Kiel Lymphoma Study Group-foremost A. STACHER and G. BRITTINGER have been able to present preliminary data on the clinical relevance of the new classification. Finally, our optimism was fortified by the findings of R.J. LUKES and R.D. COLLINS, which largely concur with ours in both concept and practical significance. This book is divided into six main sections. First, there is a chapter on normal cytology that supplements and, in some respects, revises the presentation given in Part A of this Handbook (1961). H.K. MULLER-HERMELINK played a major role in the writing of the first chapter. The second chapter is a brief description of the light-microscopic techniques that are used in our laboratories and have proved to be suitable for a precise diagnosis of lymph-node diseases.

Synopsis Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in Childhood and Adolescence by : Oussama Abla
This text provides a state-of-the-art overview on Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) in children and adolescents. The volume is divided into seven sections, each of which focuses on a critical component of pediatric NHL, including history and epidemiology, pathology and molecular biology, disease evaluation and response, common and rare sub-types of NHL, and current and novel treatment strategies. The text also comprehensively reviews the late effects of treatment, quality of patient life, and NHL treatment in countries with limited resources. Written by experts in the field, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in Childhood and Adolescence is a valuable resource for clinicians and practitioners who treat children and adolescents with NHL.

Synopsis Handbook of Advanced Cancer Care by : Michael J. Fisch
Patients with advanced cancer increasingly receive end-of-life care from a variety of health care professionals, physicians and nurses. These professionals need to be able to assess the original diagnosis and the appropriateness of patient referral, set a treatment or palliation program, and recognise and plan for the clinical problems associated with specific primary tumors. This is the first comprehensive source of information available at a level between specialist oncology texts and nursing texts. Two eminent physicians from one of the world's foremost cancer centers have drawn together a remarkable team to provide a handbook which covers the full range of problems the healthcare workforce caring for these patients will encounter. This highly accessible text covers general principles in oncology, the primary tumors one by one, and management of specific symptoms and syndromes. It will be invaluable to primary care physicians, surgeons, nurses, therapists and trainees.

Synopsis Lymph Node FNC by : P. Zeppa
This well-illustrated monograph presents a comprehensive description of Fine-Needle Cytology (FNC), including technical procedures and ancillary techniques, applied to the lymph node (LN). Possibilities and limitations are highlighted to produce accurate cytological diagnosis of LN and cytological criteria, and to be exploited for extra-nodal lymphoproliferative processes. The normal LN structure and corresponding cytological patterns are described. Cytological, phenotypical, and molecular features are reviewed along with diagnostic criteria for various medical conditions such as lymphadenitis and lymphadenopathies, Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, pediatric lymphoadenopaties, immunodeficiency-associated lymphoproliferative disorders, extra-nodal lymphoproliferative processes, metastases, and other non-lymphomatous processes. LN-FNC requires knowledge of hemathopathology and imaging techniques, as well as dexterity with FNC performing, smearing, and material management. Rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE), the choice of ancillary techniques and molecular procedures case by case are required to produce accurate and comprehensive diagnosis. This book will help cytopathologists to conduct these tasks in various organs and clinical contexts.
