We follow his evolution, from being exposed to the fascinating gyotaku style as a graduate student, to his current status as an internationally recognised master in the field. He documents his journey and growth by sharing fifty years of experiences and adventures. In recent years Dewees has done more writing, and these stories and poems are linked to his art.
