Daybreak Devotions, a book of devotions compiled over ten years, takes the reader on a 50-day inspirational journey to inspire their faith and spiritual maturity. Dr. Mary Jeter's early morning devotions in the presence of the Lord inspired her daily to write under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Her devotional time evolved into the early morning hours at daybreak. It took time to develop this discipline, but the results have been amazing, as she has been able to receive inspirational thoughts from the heart of God. Dr. Jeter hopes this devotional will be an enjoyment to readers as they journey through each day.

I can tell you that looking back over the last year God orchestrated these devotions. I had originally started writing them for another ministry and had hoped to reach orphan girls with them. God obviously had other plans. He kept waking me up night after night in the wee hours of the morning to write these devotions. I always heard Satan whisper in my ear the word, "doubt". I prayed for confirmation for continuation of writing them one night. The next morning I woke up and turned on my computer and received an email from a Pastor in India. He stated, "Greetings and Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Dawn. I ran across your blog this morning and wanted to encourage you to continue writing these as they are very good. I would like to use them in my ministry. May the Lord Bless and keep you and your ministry." That was my confirmation to continue this journey. I hope you enjoy them and they speak to you in a mighty way as they are all from the Lord to Glorify Him and Him alone.

These devotions will encourage moments of silent prayer and meditation. All devotions were taken from the NIV Women's Devotional Bible. The devotions were written by well-known Christian women, including Debby Boone, Jill Briscoe, Gloria Gaither, Ruth Bell Graham, Luci Swindoll, and Joni Eareckson Tada.
