This manual has been designed to provide additional information on creditable and non-creditable foods in child care centers, outside school hours centers, family child care homes, and adult day care centers. Creditable foods are those foods that may be counted toward meeting the requirements for a reimbursable meal.

Licensed family childcare homes participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program through affiliation with a Family Day Care Home Sponsor. These Sponsors contract with CDPHE-CACFP to provide total oversight of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for the facilities (homes) they sponsor.
