Synopsis Before Projection by : Henriette Huldisch

Before Projection: Video Sculpture 1974-1995 shines a spotlight on a historical moment and a body of work in the history of media art that has been largely overlooked since its inception. The exhibition explores the connections between our current moment and the point at which video art was transformed dramatically with the entry of large-scale, cinematic installation into the gallery space. This exhibition will present a re-evaluation of monitor-based sculpture since the 1970’s and serve as a tightly focused survey of works that have been rarely seen in the last twenty years. Artists featured in the exhibition are Dara Birnbaum, Ernst Caramelle, Takahiko Iimura, Shigeko Kubota, Mary Lucier, Muntadas, Tony Oursler, Nam June Paik, Friederike Pezold, Adrian Piper, Diana Thater, and Maria Vedder.--Gallery website.

Synopsis Radiographic Image Analysis - E-Book by : Kathy McQuillen-Martensen

Learn to produce the most accurate radiographic images on the first try with Radiographic Image Analysis, 4th Edition. This thoroughly updated guide walks you through the steps of how to carefully evaluate an image, how to identify the improper positioning or technique that caused a poor image, and how to correct the problem. For each procedure, there is a diagnostic-quality radiograph along with several examples of unacceptable radiographs, a complete list of radiographic evaluation guidelines, and detailed discussions on how each of the evaluation points is related to positioning and technique. Each unacceptable radiograph is accompanied by a description of the misaligned anatomical structures, how the patient was mis-positioned, and how to adjust technique to obtain an acceptable radiograph. "The whole text is well presented." Reviewed by Jenny May on behalf of Radiography, July 2015 Poorly positioned example images appear at the end of procedures to test your knowledge. Synopsis Meditation And Astral projection by : Jamie D Cook

A good author is someone who can take readers on a journey with their words - transporting them to different worlds, introducing them to unique characters, and evoking emotions they never knew they had. They have a talent for crafting compelling plots that keep readers on the edge of their seats, as well as creating relatable and believable characters that readers can connect with on a personal level. Good authors are masters of language, using their words to paint vivid pictures in readers' minds and creating a sense of atmosphere and mood that brings their stories to life. Perhaps most importantly, they are able to inspire readers, teaching them important life lessons and touching their hearts in a way that stays with them long after the final page has been turned.

Synopsis Meaning in the Arts by : Louis Arnaud Reid

This is Volume II of three in a collection on Aesthetics. Originally published in 1969, this volume of the Muirhead library of philosophy. After distinguishing, and relating, the functions of Criticism and Aesthetics in Part I, Part II develops the basic thesis of the book, which is that the central defining characteristic of the aesthetic is 'embodiment' rather than 'expression'. Part III tests this out in examples from the different arts, 'representative' and 'abstract', with very special attention to music (as an 'abstract' art), in which the problem of art's apparently contradictory characters-of being both autonomous and yet expressive of life outside art-is seen in its most acute form. Part IV is a philosophical analysis of the main concepts so far involved-meaning, symbolism, knowledge, truth, standards-in art as distinct from other, discursive knowledge. It concludes with a discussion of the question whether art is in any sense a 'revelation'. Part V considers the bearing of the arguments of the book on aesthetic education.
