Synopsis Beep Beep: On being a john by : Henri Molineaux

The author examines the controversial subject of the relationship between prostitutes and their customers from a different perspective: from that of the john. This book tells of how and why explorations lead to adventures that lead to drastic changes. The telling is raw and vivid as the women conduct their business and the man ventures into their anomie world of sex, drugs, violence, and homelessness. As we dip into the lives of the women he dates, the narrator's own troubled mind and history are revealed. The buyer of the sex-for-hire service repeatedly follows his nature as he seeks to find love and romance there instead. The otherwise intelligent and resilient man recognizes the folly in that and comes to think of these encounters as fantasy adventures, separate and apart from the reality of his everyday life. But he finds it increasingly difficult to keep fantasy separate from reality while the torment that ever permeates his being remains and travels with him as he ventures from one realm to the other. The reader must always read between the lines to understand things that the narrator does not yet realize.

Synopsis The Possibility Exists ... by : Eoin Scolard

In 2004, Eoin Scolard trusted his intuition and walked away from a six-figure salary. The Possibility Exists … is a practical and sometimes humorous look at how his concept of self was broken open, and how he learned profound spiritual and philosophical concepts from unlikely sources. Eoin says, “The Possibility Exists … that you’ll enjoy the searing honesty of my writing, sprinkled with Irish humour, deep wisdom, fun and foolishness. But then again, The Possibility Exists … that you’ll throw your hands up in the air and proclaim that this is the most boring book you’ve ever read!” As you can tell, Eoin avoids taking it all too seriously, because, he says, “Self-help can become obsessive and actually be a hindrance to your enjoyment of life.”

Synopsis Children Belong in Families, Second Edition by : Mick Pease

For too long, the world’s lonely and vulnerable children have been forgotten and ignored. Millions of children are abandoned for a life on the streets or live with unsafe families or in soulless institutions. Now the tide is turning. Pioneers like Mick Pease and his remarkable charity SFAC lead a global movement for change. This insightful and uplifting book takes us on a journey that spans three decades and five continents. We meet judges and social workers, missionaries and aid workers, the children and families themselves. Mick asks tough questions, such as: Would you want your children in a safe family or in an institution? Would you want them to belong to something or to someone? He offers proven solutions for children separated from their families in widely different societies, from the hills of Myanmar to the sprawling cities of Brazil. SFAC supports measures to keep children in their families and communities or to find safe alternatives where this is not possible. The key is always the best interests of the child. It is an extraordinary journey from the Yorkshire coalfields to advocacy and influence in the corridors of power. It offers practical wisdom and a hope for the future.
