Synopsis Stranger by the Lake by : Jennifer Wilde
A writer travels to a fabled estate and uncovers a mystery both sensational and deadly in master storyteller Jennifer Wilde’s novel of unparalleled romantic suspense Mystery novelist Susan Marlow visited Gordonwood only once, as an impressionable twelve-year-old girl, but she never forgot the stately Victorian mansion. When her aunt Agatha invites her for a second visit, she meets Craig Stanton, a devilishly attractive scholar who is writing a history book about Sir Robert Gordon, the legendary Victorian-era explorer. Lady Agatha has given Stanton exclusive access to her family’s papers. But some of those priceless documents are missing. A series of break-ins convince Susan—and the local police—that someone is desperate to get their hands on the Gordon manuscripts. The disappearance of a local girl, a suspicious death, and a body that washes up along the Thames make Susan realize that she might be the final obstacle in a killer’s cunningly orchestrated endgame.

Synopsis The Lost Kingdom by : His Royal Highness Prince Ali Seraj of Afghanistan
His Royal Highness Prince Ali Seraj, a member of the royal family of Afghanistan, brings four decades of history to life—from the Cold War era when his famed nightclub in Kabul was a hotspot for global celebrities, jetsetters, and spies, to the communist Soviet takeover that killed members of his family, put a price on Prince Ali’s head, and forced him to make a harrowing escape from his homeland in disguise with his American wife and family. Prince Seraj’s intimate and historic portrait of modern Afghanistan tells the inside story of a proud, ancient culture grappling with a turbulent history of invasion and transformation. His passionate and adventure-filled story opens a new door to understand a nation irrevocably linked to the stability and prosperity of Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and to the United States.

Then there is one drug addict who is out of the same neighbourhood as the boyand who knows of the boys weaknesses. He knows how to exploit it and figures that if the boy is free with his money by giving it away, then he could claim 10 per cent from the boys earnings and feed his habits. But the boy, who doesnt hold with drugs and liquor, refuses. He has better uses for his money. The boy is now streetwise and has been living outdoors for some time. He takes evasive measures and disappears from the drug addict. He travels abroad, and years later, he marries and settles down in London. By some extraordinary bad luck, the drug addict tracks him down and makes his demand, but Lynx Ferry wont budge. The addict then teams up with a couple of local toughs, kidnaps Ferrys children, murders them, and disappears.
