Synopsis The Magic of Éliphas Lévi by : Éliphas Lévi
The presented here collection contains two of the most important books by Éliphas Lévi dedicated to his views on the essence of magic and the history of magical studies. Levi thinks that people regard magic erroneously and narrow it to a collection of tricks. On the contrary, magic is practicing the concentration of will, imagination, and psychic power to influence the minds of other people and the phenomena of reality. In The History of Magic, Lévi compares the magical components of different religious traditions and organizations, like pagan beliefs, Kabbalah, Christian Catholicism, Illuminati, and Freemasonry. He states that true magic is earthed under the parables, fables, and wonder stories with peculiarities in every division. Yet, they all have a common basis, which Lévi describes as the true magic which imparts real science. Levi's books greatly influenced the development of different occult and mystical movements in Europe and the United States, including the Theosophical Society of Helena Blavatsky.

Join one princess as she embarks on a journey that will define her, her kingdom, and the legacy she’s destined to create. “Because the lands themselves are rich with magic, deep in the earth, all people in Egriden are capable of magic.” One might expect a princess’s life to be a fairytale, but for sixteen-year-old Inise, it’s not that easy. Every day is a relentless cycle of lessons and training, all to prepare the future queen. As if that wasn't enough, a terrible truth hangs over her—queens wield unimaginable magic, a gift this princess has yet to demonstrate. When tragedy strikes, her loyal friends help her escape the kingdom and her ambitious uncle Vischant. But the outside world brings no reprieve because in order to claim the throne, she must manifest four elemental stones and master their power. As Inise grapples with her purpose and duty, she encounters a found family better than one she could have ever dreamed of, including Pashendra, a mysterious fae who claims she and Inise have a special connection. Will Inise muster the strength to overcome her uncle’s malevolent ambitions and stop the ruin of her realm?

Synopsis The Tarot by : Mouni Sadhu
The ultimate book in exploring the hidden depths of magic and the Western Esoteric Tradition In his defining masterpiece, Mouni Sadhu offers the reader an encyclopaedic exploration of the Western esoteric tradition and magical philosophy with the major arcana of the Tarot as a guide. Each of the 101 lessons contained in this volume is packed with occult philosophy, symbolism, and hints for practice. (The practices themselves are elsewhere, in his books Concentration, Meditation, and Theurgy, which should be studied in that order along with this book.) Those students who want to get the most out of this volume should plan on devoting a week to each lesson, reading it several times and making sure that a thorough grasp of the important concepts has been gained. Two years devoted to this study will result in a thorough understanding of Hermetic occultism The symbolism and correspondences found in The Tarot are not the ones most familiar in occult writings in the English-speaking world. They derive from the main European tradition of modern Hermeticism, which starts with Eliphas Lévi’s groundbreaking Doctrine and Ritual of High Magic and proceeds through the works of Stanislaus de Guaita, Paul Christian, Papus (Gerard Encausse), and Oswald Wirth, among others, to Mouni Sadhu. Readers who are used to the current of Hermetic teaching set in motion by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, which lies behind most occultism in the English-speaking world, may find themselves surprised by the very different approaches Mouni Sadhu presents here and elsewhere in his works.

Synopsis Tibetan Paintings by : George Roerich
It is only recently that the systematic study of Buddhist Art has been inaugurated. Thanks to scientific excavations and explorations carried out in India by the Indian Archaeological Survey, in Central Aisa by a number of archaeological missions on behalf of different governments, and in China by the pioneer work of the eminent French sinologist, the late Edouard Chavennes, we possess a number of invaluable facts which enable us to reconstruct the vast domain of Buddhist Art. It is true that it is not yet possible to write a history of Buddhist Art in all its phases and different epochs. This huge work remains to be done, and we only can hope that future investigations in this field will facilitate the scholar's task. But if the complete history of Buddhist Art is still to be written, we can already affirm the unity of its evolution. -- Introduction.

Synopsis Leia of Earth by : Jen Frankel
Leia Gregory spends her lazy summers helping out her mom in the animal hospital in the barn, and dreaming in the big apple tree at the end of the orchard on her rural Ontario farm. But she dreams of adventure: could she be a secret agent, or princess, or travel to far-off worlds? It seems like a crazy idea-until a ship from another world crashes right at her feet. On board are the Princess of Syltasia, a far-away planet, her guardian Colin, a petulant ti-cat called Bast, and K.E.L.I., the "kinetic electronic logical interface" who helps fly the ship. Soon, Leia is off to Mars on an adventure that will change her life-and teach her a thing or two about bravery, Earth folk-wisdom, and the intriguing secrets hidden in her very own family! With an afterword by Andrew Rader, Ph.D, real-life Aerospace Engineer and author of Leaving Earth: Why One Way to Mars Makes Sense.
