Synopsis The Complete Prophecies of Nostradamus by : Nostradamus Nostradamus

Nostradamus (Michel de Nostradame) was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. Nostradamus came from a long line of Jewish doctors and scholars. He is considered by many as one of the most famous and important writers of history prophecies. He is famous mainly for his book 'The Prophecies, ' consisting of quarantine in rhyme. Supporters of the trustworthiness of these prophecies attribute to Nostradamus the ability to predict an incredible number of events in world history, including the French Revolution, the Atomic bomb, the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the attacks of 11 September 2001. However, no one has ever proved that Nostradamus's quarters can provide reliable data for the foreseeable future. Nostradamus had the visions which he later recorded in verse while staring into water or flame late at night, sometimes aided by herbal stimulants, while sitting on a brass tripod. The resulting quatrains (four line verses) are oblique and elliptical, and use puns, anagrams and allegorical imagery. Most of the quatrains are open to multiple interpretations, and some make no sense whatsoever. Some of them are chilling, literal descriptions of events, giving specific or near-specific names, geographic locations, astrological configurations, and sometimes actual dates. It is this quality of both vagueness and specificity which allows each new generation to reinterpret Nostradamus.

Synopsis New Optimization Techniques in Engineering by : Godfrey C. Onwubolu

Presently, general-purpose optimization techniques such as Simulated Annealing, and Genetic Algorithms, have become standard optimization techniques. Concerted research efforts have been made recently in order to invent novel optimization techniques for solving real life problems, which have the attributes of memory update and population-based search solutions. The book describes a variety of these novel optimization techniques which in most cases outperform the standard optimization techniques in many application areas. New Optimization Techniques in Engineering reports applications and results of the novel optimization techniques considering a multitude of practical problems in the different engineering disciplines – presenting both the background of the subject area and the techniques for solving the problems.

Synopsis The Life and Times of Nostradamus by : Russell Roberts

Few people in history have incited such debate and further examination as the French prophet known as Nostradamus. What manner of man was he? Was he really able to part the mists of time and see into the future? Was it possible that he could predict events and identify people separated hundreds of years from his own time? Or are his predictions just vague and ambiguous enough that they can be made to fit almost any occasion? Perhaps one way to find answers to these questions is to examine the entire life of this remarkable man—not just the small portion that his predictions constitute. Read about the influences of his youth, his training as a physician, and the reasons he began making his predictions. You may then have the power to better understand who and what he actually was and the times in which he lived.

Synopsis Imagining the End by : James Craig Holte

Imagining the End provides students and general readers with contextualized examples of how the apocalypse has been imagined across all mediums of American popular culture. Detailed entries analyze the development, influence, and enjoyment of end-times narratives. Imagining the End provides a contextual overview and individual description and analysis of the wide range of depictions of the end of the world that have appeared in American popular culture. American writers, filmmakers, television producers, and game developers inundated the culture with hundreds of imagined apocalyptic scenarios, influenced by the Biblical Book of Revelation, the advent of the end of the second millennium (2000 CE), or predictions of catastrophic events such as nuclear war, climate change, and the spread of AIDS. From being "raptured" to surviving the zombie apocalypse, readers and viewers have been left with an almost endless sequence of disasters to experience. Imagining the End examines this phenomenon and provides a context for understanding, and perhaps appreciating, the end of the world. This title is composed of alphabetized entries covering all topics related to the end times, covering popular culture mediums such as comic books, literature, films, and music.

Synopsis Proof from the Light and Darkness by : Spencer J.

This book, "Proof from the Light and Darkness" intends to prove many divine truths to many people. Many will accept it as proof while many will not. The following are seven of such truths this book will prove: 1) God is a living, eternal and a superior being. 2) The soul is a living and unique pattern of energy created by God and should not be confused with the spirit. 3) God is a union of two entities, which were the first souls to exist male and female therefore God can be him or her. 4) God comes to Earth periodically as Christ-incarnate in the body of a man and a woman. 5) Jesus of Nazareth and Mary of Bethany (the Magdalene) were the Christ's two thousand years ago. 6) Spencer John Atkinson and Pamela Theresa Atkinson are the new names and bodies of the same Christ, Jesus and Mary Magdalene. 7) Heaven is a real and eternally joyful place in another dimension of space. These seven topics and more is a result or a chain reaction from the main proof, God has given me; proof that I am the incarnate soul of Jesus of Nazareth and my wife and I are the Christ. Have no fear; this book is not just another book on religion, however, in order to prove Jesus' soul is back incarnate, the King James Bible must be used, not for its Christian theology or religious teachings, instead for its Divine Arrangements (blueprint, map of predictions or prophecies) concerning the return of Jesus Christ. It's time to stop the confusion caused by so many different beliefs by adding common sense, logic, and deductive reasoning, leading to proof that might be realized by all faiths.
