Synopsis Manhandled by : Nicole Fox

Manhandled is book 1 of the Sigma Saints MC trilogy. Books 2 and 3, Mangled and Roughed Up are available everywhere now! SHE'S ABOUT TO GET MANHANDLED. When you stick your nose where you don't belong, then some punishment is in order. It's too late for "I'm sorry" or "It was an accident." She trespassed on the wrong man. And I'm about to show her how delicious this punishment can be. She was nothing special. At least, that's what I used to think. When she first barged in and heard some things she definitely should NOT have heard, I didn't think much of her. She was cute, sure. Sexy even, in an innocent kind of way. But she was a loose end, and that meant one thing: She needed to be tied up. I cuffed her down until I could decide where to dispose of her once I'd done what had to be done. But the longer I stared at her, the more my hunger grew. A prize like this shouldn't be just thrown away. It needed to be tasted. Savored. Devoured. I'd had a million girls before her, but Jess is another species entirely. She brings out sides of me I never knew were there. I don't know whether to thank her for it… Or bend her over my knee and spank her to teach her a lesson. Lucky for me, I don't have to choose between the two. We've got plenty of time for both.

Synopsis Manhandled by : Noah Justice

How many times have we seen or heard, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.” Proverbs 18:22 But is it written anywhere that a wife can “Manhandle” her husband? In so many instances we hear or read about domestic violence or spousal abuse; our thought processes instantly think of a man abusing a woman. In very few situations do we ever observe or notice the exact opposite or “role reversal.” However, “Manhandled” reds and captures this role reversal at its best with high intensity. It exemplifies many areas of our daily domestic and intimate relationships, and makes one wonder how and why this could happen?

Synopsis The Oxford History of English Lexicography by : A. P. Cowie

These substantial volumes present the fullest account yet published of the lexicography of English from its origins in medieval glosses, through its rapid development in the eighteenth century, to a fully-established high-tech industry that is as reliant as ever on learning and scholarship. The history covers dictionaries of English and its national varieties, including American English, with numerous references to developments in Europe and elsewhere which have influenced the course of English lexicography. Part one of Volume I explores the early development of glosses and bilingual and multilingual dictionaries and examines their influence on lexicographical methods and ideas. Part two presents a systematic history of monolingual dictionaries of English and includes extensive chapters on Johnson, Webster and his successors in the USA, and the OED. It also contains descriptions of the development of dictionaries of national and regional varieties, and of Old and Middle English, and concludes with an account of the computerization of the OED. The specialized dictionaries described in Volume II include dictionaries of science, dialects, synonyms, etymology, pronunciation, slang and cant, quotations, phraseology, and personal and place names. This volume also includes an account of the inception and development of dictionaries developed for particular users, especially foreign learners of English. The Oxford History of English Lexicography unites scholarship with readability. It provides a unique and accessible reference for scholars and professional lexicographers and offers a series of fascinating encounters with the men and women involved over the centuries in the making of works of profound national and linguistic importance.

Synopsis Scientific Management by : Frederick Winslow Taylor

This volume comprises three works originally published separately as Shop Management (1903), The Principles of Scientific Management (1911) and Testimony Before the Special House Committee (1912). Taylor aimed at reducing conflict between managers and workers by using scientific thought to develop new principles and mechanisms of management. In contrast to ideas prevalent at the time, Taylor maintained that the workers' output could be increased by standardizing tasks and working conditions, with high pay for success and loss in case of failure. Scientific Management controversially suggested that almost every act of the worker would have to be preceded by one or more preparatory acts of management, thus separating the planning of an act from its execution.
