Synopsis Cheaters, Intriguers and Dazzlers by : Robert Düsterwald
How relaxed could our life be if there weren't always these dishonest, envious people, cheaters, intriguers and dazzlers. With cunning and lies they gain our trust to abuse it thoroughly. We experience envy and greed, discrimination, exploitation or financial damage, while the cheater makes a career at our expense. His envy does not grant us anything, and he talks badly about us while pretending to be our best friend. And sometimes it is even those who are particularly close to us who deceive us so much: our spouse, a colleague, a relative or our superior. With various checklists in this book, such as the Cheater Recognition Test, you can find out for yourself, whether you are surrounded by honest friends or by underhanded hypocrites. The book also shows you how to defend yourself against cheaters. In addition to the cheating behavior of individuals, the last chapter of the book deals with the threat to the ethical principles in organisations posed by corruption and mismanagement and it describes the internal control system as an effective countermeasure.

Synopsis The Progressive Maharaja by : Rahul Sagar
Hints on the Art and Science of Government was the first treatise on statecraft produced in modern India. It consists of lectures that Raja Sir T. Madhava Rao delivered in 1881 to Sayaji Rao Gaekwad III, the young Maharaja of Baroda. Universally considered the foremost Indian statesman of the nineteenth century, Madhava Rao had served as dewan (or prime minister) in the native states of Travancore, Indore and Baroda. Under his command, Travancore and Baroda came to be seen as ‘model states’, whose progress demonstrated that Indians were capable of governing well. Rao’s lectures summarise the fundamental principles underlying his unprecedented success. He explains how and why a Maharaja ought to marry the classical Indian ideal of raj dharma, which enjoins rulers to govern dutifully, with the modern English ideal of limited sovereignty. This makes Hints an exceptionally important text: it shows how, outside the confines of British India, Indians consciously and creatively sought to revise and adapt ideals in the interests of progress. This landmark edition contains both the newly rediscovered, original lecture manuscripts; and an authoritative introduction, outlining Rao’s remarkable career, his complicated relationship with Sayaji Rao III, and the reasons why his lectures have been neglected–until now.

Synopsis Secret Societies and Subversive Movements by : Nesta H. Webster
One of the best books on secret societies ever written. Webster was an historical writer who wrote a number of books on the French Revolution. After World War I she was intrigued with the Marxist revolt, so wrote World Revolution, examining how and why people continue to revolt. As her search went deeper, clear meanings surfaced behind our revolutionsand they involved an agenda by secret societies. This book lays out, in historical perspective, how these secret societies and subversive movements have operated from behind the scenes. Not all of them aspire to rule the world or manipulate politics or world currency, but there are some major ones, according to Webster, that are. As a respected writer and world historian, she provides proof from within these pages.
