Synopsis Shamanic and Mythic Cultures of Ethnic Peoples in Northern China by : Fu Yuguang
Based on first-hand materials gathered through decades of field research and fleshed out with the author's insightful religious, cultural, and historical observations extending back to Qing Dynasty times, ancient archaeological discoveries and the legacy of Siberian peoples, this two-volume ethnological study investigates shamanic rituals, myths and lore in northern China and explores the common ideology underlying the origins of the region's cultures. The two volumes discuss the spiritual world of northern Shamanism and investigates the various shamanic rituals, divination, spirit idols and myths, illuminating how worship and ideas are imbedded in and interweave with the indigenous environment, culture and history of people in northern China. This mythic heritage embodies the peoples' understanding of the natural world, the creation of humankind, social life and history as well as their interaction with their surroundings. It is shown that shamanic spirituality in northern China is characterised by functionality and practicality in daily-life situations, in contrast to the received wisdom that defines shamanic praxis as a pure supernatural spirit journey. The set will be of great value for scholars of religion and anthropologists as well as ethnologists in the fields of Shamanism studies, Northeast Asian folklore and Manchu studies.

Synopsis Restless Souls by : Leigh Eric Schmidt
Yoga classes and Zen meditation, New-Age retreats and nature mysticism—all are part of an ongoing religious experimentation that has surprisingly deep roots in American history. Tracing out the country’s Transcendentalist and cosmopolitan religious impulses over the last two centuries, Restless Souls explores America’s abiding romance with spirituality as religion’s better half. Now in its second edition, including a new preface, Leigh Eric Schmidt's fascinating book provides a rich account of how this open-road spirituality developed in American culture in the first place as well as a sweeping survey of the liberal religious movements that touted it and ensured its continued vitality.

Synopsis To Another World... with Land Mines! Volume 1 by : Itsuki Mizuho
“Hey! I’m an evil god, but I’m not actually evil!” Those were the first words I heard in the afterlife. My name’s Naofumi Kamiya, and my entire class died in a tragic bus accident. The god told my classmates that he would transport all of us to a dangerous new world, but he created skills for us on request, so maybe he was actually a good god? That’s what I thought at first, anyway. But when it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! I feel bad for my classmates who thought that gimmicky skills would make them invincible. I mean, the god did warn them that there were no cheat skills! Oh well. As for myself, I’m enjoying my life with my childhood friends, putting safety first and staying out of trouble. After all, this world might seem like a game, but it’s not. It’s reality.

Synopsis Towards New Goals by : Bjarke Olsen
I have written this rollicking adventure book for older children and young adults in which the main characters travel through time and space. The journey began over thirty years ago in the sauna. My youngest son, then aged five or six, was not very keen on this Nordic recreation. I told him stories to divert his attention. He was soon an avid fan of the bath, not because of the steam and the heat, but because of the stories I was dreaming up. I wondered for many years whether I should gather the stories into a book. In 2018, I took the plunge and started writing. It turned out to be a stimulating and engaging pastime – conflating fact and fantasy, mixing past and future, contrasting good and evil and offering morsels of moral, religious and political thought without trying to be an ethical compass. The book was published in Swedish in 2022 and has met with great success. This encouraged me to go further. The work has now been revised, beautifully illustrated and translated into English. Perhaps I am Baron von Münchausen's reincarnation! Enjoy the book and judge for yourself! Bernardino Schwimmeltrik Meet Our Main Characters ÖffliBöffli, Pelle Pistol and Kalle Kanon are animals, but they have human characteristics and co-mingle on equal footing with people. ÖffliBöffli is a cheerful, optimistic young pig. He is thirsty for knowledge. He spent six years in the village school in Swineburn, Sweden, where he was born. Even though he learned to read and write, it was not a very good school. His thirst had to be quenched elsewhere. He devoured every book in the school library and many of those from the library in the nearest big town. He soon had a smattering of mathematics, physics, history, geography, anatomy and a host of other subjects. When he was older, he supplemented his learning by attending night school. However, he realised that his knowledge was superficial. He had hoped to go to university, but the family’s finances did not allow that. ÖffliBöffli is a shy fellow. He is not very tall nor is he physically strong but what he lacks in muscle he is well compensated for by his knowledge. He can contribute to any conversation with snippets of information on a host of subjects. Pelle Pistol is a black and white cat. He had been Master-at-Arms to the King of France. He is always elegantly dressed in an immaculate red uniform with a wide white collar. On his head, he sports a broad-brimmed hat with an ostrich feather which quivers in the breeze. A pair of flintlock pistols nestle in their holsters at his hip. The pistol on the left is accompanied by a slim rapier. He has a fine, lush moustache which he preens constantly. He is fashion-conscious and somewhat vain. He enjoys fine wine and gourmet food. He would rather laze in the sun than work. But he is brave and is an excellent marksman. Kalle Kanon is a tough, sturdy bulldog with a stern demeanour and a heart of gold. He had been Master of artillery in the army of the French King where he and Pelle Pistol met. They have been friends through thick and thin ever since. Kalle Kanon is enormously strong, devoid of fear and inordinately courageous. He compensates for what he lacks in intellect with practicality and pragmatism. He is always ready for action, a good meal and a pint or two of ale. He is short-tempered and quick with his fists. He is no conversationalist. His remarks are gruff, curt and to the point. No idle chatter. No banal banter. Only the task is important. And he always gets the job done. Their adventures bind these three diverse personalities together in mutual love, respect and loyalty. They support each other through hell and high water. They become closer than brothers.

Synopsis Dao Theory The Ultimate ----Theory Based on the Universe Origin by : Xiao Ran Huang
Dao theory is an all-inclusive ultimate theory established by ancient Chinese thinkers according to the Origin of the universe. It is used to explain all the basic phenomena in the universe, to guide people's thought and behavior, to guide the establishment of a just and perfect society, and so on. It can be proved through Dao theory that the Origin of the universe is a spiritual body in a zero state, which is the most perfect. The universe comes from the Origin of the universe. The theory established according to the Origin is bound to be all inclusive and can explain the most important phenomena in the universe—life and consciousness. Because the Origin is the most perfect, the theory established according to the Origin will inevitably be able to guide mankind to build a perfect society. There are two versions: the physical version and the popular version. The popular version contains spiritual physics that explains consciousness and soul, omitting general physics. The physical version has the results of the author’s research on general physics, suitable for researchers, teachers and readers who are interested in physics. The cover of physical version is blue, and the cover of the popular version is yellow. This book is the physical version.
